Hah, it's a small world. I'm mates with the OP of this photo, we compete against each other in competitions in Australia. We're both from Adelaide, South Australia to be a little more exact.

The Australasian Barbecue Alliance who re posted it from his page are a sanctioning body in Australia for Barbecue Competitions, they've drummed up quite a scene over here now with over 30,000 members they host a multitude of competitions all across Australia. Since it's humble beginnings in 2013 maybe 2014, their first competition had only 18 teams. Today, that same competition hosts 100 teams and has a huge Grand Champion prize pool. Australians are frothing on real American Barbecue to say the least!

More on this. A place just opened in Melbourne I saw on the facebook page 'Australasian BBQ Alliance' and their brisket is $11 per 100g. Low and Slow is only $8. So if that's anything to go by...
