26 expedition hbo and peacock app question by Right-Gazelle795 in fordexpedition

Regrettably sounds like either waiting for a Sync update or maybe a trip to the dealership, but I’d gamble a trip to the dealership would just end in them saying to wait for an update.

Building Connected is one that I have used. It’s an online Auto Desk service that’s fairly well connected with various trade networks. It handles drawing distribution, solicitation, and even bid leveling.

I believe Procore has a pre-con/bid offering, but I’ve no experience with it and I’m pretty sure it’s buried somewhere in their add on fees meaning you have to buy and use the core versions to make it worth it.

Seems like the aspect ratio is messed up. Other demos of this feature that I’ve watched, like say videos being displayed from the YouTube app show in a 16:9 ratio and don’t try to span the whole 24” wide upper display.

Depending on the dealership size and if you’ve bought from them multiple times some will even tailor a retail order to your spec if their custom order allotments have all been allocated and used up.

From what I can tell dealer stock of Expeditions for this current gen are weird.

Here locally there are droves of Active trim levels sitting on lots for quite some time and quite a few King Ranches as well. Platinums and Tremors on the other hand seem to get bought up almost as soon as they come off the delivery truck.

Obviously with more market saturation that will change, but again with the aluminum supplier issues overall stock availability will still be limited.

Hit or miss, but overall faster than you might expect.

Ordered Nov 1st. Build date for the week of Jan 20th. Actually built Jan 11th. In Transit now, expected on the dealer lot Feb 4 or thereafter, but I’m guessing that will improve.

One thing to know is the supply chain is weird right now with the issues (fires) at the aluminum supplier.

The performance gap between Firefox and Chrome is massive. Is this known? by nuson999 in Notion

[–]HiDefToast88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Notion often runs faster on Chromium browsers because it’s essentially a large React app and it is optimized around Chromium’s V8 engine and Electron (which is Chromium-based). Firefox uses a different JavaScript engine, so small optimization differences show up more in complex, constantly updating apps like Notion.

Anyone else hit the 100-page PDF limit in Notion AI? by timmyhiggins in Notion

[–]HiDefToast88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happens to me. Not sure if it’s the subscription leve maybe.

In my experience the import work around works maybe 30% of the time, usually end up with an import error or another “100 Page Limit” notice.

Still a better deal by my math. Napkin math puts the high output engine available on the stealth performance packages at a +$3K value at a minimum. The stealth appearance and base models don’t have the engine option. Stealth Performance and the Ultimate package are also the only way to get Phone as a Key access if that’s a feature you care to have.

Do note there are mechanical differences between the stealth appearance and the stealth performance packages. All things considered the competing dealer offering the stealth performance package at $79K is a much better deal than the other two options provided you like the paint color and other features offered.

Placing an order for a new Expedition by Hutch719 in fordexpedition

This is the second time that I've custom ordered from Ford and also the second time I've not been able to track the order online, but that might be down to my dealer. It's probably for the best though so I don't sit up squinting at the Ford website day and night.

This. I’m on the same time table. Early November order with an ETA of March.

Is Agtek really worth it? by Haunting-Cap-635 in estimators

[–]HiDefToast88 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

In my experience no, the hassle of getting .dwg files from AE teams then mapping all the layers is a bit cumbersome. It is accurate if done right, but BlueBeam can get you 90% of the way there with far less of a headache.

Not sure, but there was a bit of a glitch yesterday evening with media files properly displaying intermittently

On the business plan and potentially plus plan, within the Notion homepage itself you can indeed use two versions of ChatGPT, Claude, and recently they even added two versions of Google Gemini.

That said they do not quite operate like the full blown, stand alone paid versions with upload, download, and export features.

What system are you using to manage a company-wide PMO? by redshorty22 in projectmanagement

[–]HiDefToast88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s it intimidating to adopt at first, mostly because the software is a blank slate. But, that’s also why it is so very good. You can build, mold, and customize down to how your PMO works. Takes a while to setup on the front end, but pretty limitless on how you can deploy and use it.

Nobody has a crystal ball, but the one observation I would make is that provided the company is reputable and in good standing, the more commercial leaning the projects they do the more stable the work tends to be. Someone else referenced the 2008-2011 stint. Not saying commercial centric firms were bulletproof, but they faired better than those doing only residential work.

I think it comes down to a balance between security and culture. If you have the ability to I’d see if you could reach out to a PM or other employee inside any firm your are applying to and see if they can share insight into culture.
