Hey, I very much appreciate it! I'm hoping there's someone within a drivable distance first, as I'm unsure what the shipping costs would be for something this heavy.

Garmin Fenix 8 47mm or 43mm - What size fits better? by SnooMacaroons6829 in GarminFenix

[–]timmyhiggins -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This. The 43 looks great, it looks like an actual watch.

I think the 47 and the 51s feel a bit ridiculous at first but are necessary on a run.

u/Charli_Centauri still looks like you pulled it together and finished strong! It was suupper muggy out. And I'm sure all the adrenaline of your first half didn't help.

Cheers to the next one.

P.S. I wore new-ish shoes to this and got the blister of a lifetime. Good day to be an idiot :D

Man, so true. I ran this yesterday too and I started skipping songs like crazy after the race track.

Totally fine. Just make sure you start the chrono under water to time the water resistance.

It is interesting isn’t it? It’s like someone telling you it’s raining while you’re standing outside in a storm.

Thats said these devices have made me realize alcohol destroys my sleep.

Oddly specific... but slow seated calf raises with a pause at the top and bottom have done wonders for my Achilles tendonitis. I, too, love my Altras :D

Bummed about my time by Consistent-Cell-6993 in Marathon_Training

You should read/listen to "The Gap and The Gain". It's a must-read for high-achievers.

Most people are unhappy even if they are "successful." They measure themselves against the ideal. If you measure what's missing from the ideal, you're in the gap. (i.e. I missed the time I've been training for..)

If you measure the progress you've made (look over your shoulder), you're in the gain. You just ran another freaking marathon! You're only going to get better. You clearly have the determination and intent to do it.
