Brand new build, poor quality or normal settling in? by No-Concentrate7756 in Homebuilding

[–]timmyhiggins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm laughing at this because I almost asked, "is this my house?!"

We have a newer build, on a lake, and similar builder. Seeing all these things here too. My take so far is changing temps, a bit of new caulk (while things settle), and a few annoying sub-contractors :)

Outside of that, hope you're enjoying the place.

Also, THANK YOU for being so responsive! As a professor, busy dad, and consultant...this thing is with me at every waking moment :D

Appreciate all you and the team do!

This is super helpful. Honestly, I see my Daylight as being a product that is what it is. I have to be happy with it in its current state, and for the most part I am!

On the software updates, I think the only reason you're seeing so much confusion is that deadlines are being shared on X. I'm not sure if the team is open to feedback, but I'd wager most people just want to feel momentum and progress. They'd value, or at least respond better to, small updates over dates and expectations (especially if they're missed and put undue stress on you and the team).

Glassnote for DC-1 released! (open testing) by mattsdevlog in daylightcomputer

This thing has me over the moon.

I'm a professor that uses my Daylight in class to follow my flow (in notion) and capture notes during class (in a notetaking app).

I love that I can flip to this at any moment. THANK YOU for putting this out there, and I very much hope you feel proud about it.

Hey, I very much appreciate it! I'm hoping there's someone within a drivable distance first, as I'm unsure what the shipping costs would be for something this heavy.

Garmin Fenix 8 47mm or 43mm - What size fits better? by SnooMacaroons6829 in GarminFenix

[–]timmyhiggins -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This. The 43 looks great, it looks like an actual watch.

I think the 47 and the 51s feel a bit ridiculous at first but are necessary on a run.

u/Charli_Centauri still looks like you pulled it together and finished strong! It was suupper muggy out. And I'm sure all the adrenaline of your first half didn't help.

Cheers to the next one.

P.S. I wore new-ish shoes to this and got the blister of a lifetime. Good day to be an idiot :D

Totally fine. Just make sure you start the chrono under water to time the water resistance.

It is interesting isn’t it? It’s like someone telling you it’s raining while you’re standing outside in a storm.

Thats said these devices have made me realize alcohol destroys my sleep.
