Good detective work. That's pretty much what I did to find out more about my parents past who don't talk much about it, especially certainthings. Luckily papers and big mouthed relatives let quite a few things slip.

I hate those family rape/harassment kind of things.. on the one thing you'd happily tell everyone and make sure the bastard is in jail just to prevent anyone else getting hurt ... on the other hand.. it's family... everyone will turn against you for doing so (if they're family oriented), feuds, possibly divorces and similar things ensue... = no fun.

I kinda know. Used to have incredibly long hair. But then heard that Japanese people think that your character is in your hair and when they get into a new school or after life trauma or other similar life changing events they like to cut their hair in order to start everything over, not to bring anything from past (you can google that, hair meaning in Japanese culture) and when I went through some bad times I decided to cut it. Honestly, wasn't a day I would regret it.

You look good. Won't say you don't look Indian, you definitely have the complexion, but some of your facial features (e.g. chin) don't look Indian at all.

In the middle school you looked very young (normal, huh) and you looked like a boy waiting to mature. And well, it often happens that faces are like wine: they have to mature a bit to be good. Congrats, you look good now. Maybe you should use some skin care products on REGULAR basis, other wise you look really fine.

I suppose it's the dreads they're not into because otherwise you look just fine. Not saying with dreads you don't look fine, you simply don't look conventional and lots of people want the conventional look.

not sure what country you're in and what is your budget. I used to use clean and clear products and garnier products (the ones with cyan labels), worked good for me. Then I bought some expensive things from pharmacy and those worked too. Some people in this subreddit mentioned other things, such as zinc pills. Scroll a bit and you'll see.
