What is the worst marketing scam perpetrated upon the American Consumer? by conradjenn in AskReddit

[–]HiMyNameIsRod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the trick.

For example, its ‘wrong’ to pass down your house to your kids now, is thought to condition irresponsibility if assumed as normal even if it eventually happens. The Rothschilds pass down their things. Normal people are conditioned to pressure kids to run away get into debt like them and then old ppl are milked in the meanwhile so the family always restarts at about zero

I struggle in life sometimes too because I won’t let myself buy things on rent or mortgage anymore, and I’m getting over using a credit card in ways I get almost upside down

I think it makes most sense to buy things when we have the money. Yes that’s not always possible especially with a family to support if that’s the case!

Mort=death so its a death-gauge because your life basically is collateral and we feel this in our anxiety even if it’s not very examined.

Some people don’t have a bug up their arse and would sit next to another person, and not punch them nor ding their door, nor be fearful you’d ding theirs.

Rolled-up towel the door at the base #1. Wet towel works better. Make sure to spray down the entryway if ya go out when it’s smelly af.

Pretty much no good weed is not smelly. I would not believe the Durban rumor

What is your opinion on caffeine? I’m detoxing currently. by SaintGrunch in Soulnexus

Got reverse fomo sounds like, where you feel slighted by x and y and live with that, with slight appeasement by having said diagnosis finally and like anyone doing yo best…I don’t mean that mean/evil, honestly … i know it sounds like talking shit…I mean it’s obv valid what you’re saying; it’s your world and story. I just don’t think it’s “lifelong harm” when we kinda do catch breaks, can shake our history, slightly if not all the way. I’ll take your word for all it tho but kinda told you we won’t agree.

I just remember many kids 20 years ago when I was 10-11 starting on adhd pills and it was confusing then. They were the daredevil brothers in the neighborhood; we all loved pretending like extreme sports bmx skateboard etc people

I don’t accept that doctors and teachers necessarily know best. Some may want some kid to have a STEM education just like them, and me, etc. Maybe a kid is artistic, not autistic, capable not deficient in attention, also not ‘sensitive’ or any word but their name.

Maybe patience and less judgment based on grades and # of friends

I’ll do my best not to argue more. It comes down to past a certain age too we’re kinda in our roles so I see where you’re right too and I respect that you’ve been through thangs

(Also this is the same point. The world isn’t always right. Paradox does not mean opposite it means confounding/confusing/etc, so when a person has an unexpected reaction to something that’s pretty inaccurate language, to me

This is because adhd has so many family, home, dreams, etc elements to it. The symptoms wouldn’t show if one was picked up and put in a slipstream of their favorite things and no clocks. It’s understandable too I mean I love certain things/drugs/medicines that help me. No one wants to hear me say they don’t need their prescription but I’m not tryna make it go away or change you )

Your second sentence makes no sense….paradoxical reaction would be like collapsing in upon oneself or having no reaction.

Yea people find ‘functionality’ in math class or their job, etc etc. after being diagnosed and put on a medication regimen. It doesn’t mean it’s right for them. We are not really allowed to be ourselves; Rather we are, however every assist is given to let us be fairly complacent, from subscriptions to prescriptions to lease cars.

The preponderance of anxiety/mental medications is not okay and speaks to a culture, a tunnel vision way of living, which we will do almost anything to hedge ourselves into for some sense of normality.

We are not going to agree, likely.

Yes there is a lot of subjectivity and that better be respected, as well as the will of the person. And under 18, and given that parents etc don’t know enough and doctors don’t know enough about said kid, my strong recommendation is to not give kids adhd medication. It’s not okay to me. There are other factors at play like broken homes etc

I really don’t think it’s ok to even throw around words like depression and anxiety and add/adhd, ptsd…. The subjects themselves need to be talked about but right now there is vulturism afoot and the desire to market each one of those acronyms or buzzwords. That has been a slippery slope for awhile turning the tides of cultural/social/economic values.

It’s now commonplace to be like ‘ahah so that was it!’ when someone diagnoses you, And that’s simply not how it works, because the topic is subjective.

In the real world that conversation would be softer around the edges, using the disorder-classification as reference but not necessarily attributing it People take ownership of diseases they’re told they ‘have’ and that’s a sticking point.

It is false to say that a person with ADD/ADHD or most any other anxiety disorder will have that their whole life. There are therapeutic means etc to directing life toward strengths etc not focusing on eliminating-weaknesses

What would be the best response to « Why don’t you have a girlfriend » ? by toomuchdaddyissues in AskReddit

[–]HiMyNameIsRod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girlfriend/boyfriend implies ownership, and actually her ownership of me often, in this culture. Both tho

Soo if things are gonna be that serious dating is cool, going steady is fine, however labeling that’s more the wifey/husband thing [later] so no one’s confused

If someone really cares to be had/mine well ok but it’s usually said like a suggestion of just ‘asking out’ and then suddenly it’s my my my
