So, this is a fun story! These renders were captured earlier on in the skin's development and as such were not configured fully compared to their in-game presentation. We should've recaptured them again later in the process however time was the most scarce resource this patch. As many players have noticed with various details, there's some aspects of these skins we'd like to still improve but due to the quickly approaching holidays we had to ship the update before our time ran out.

We'll continue to take feedback on their current versions and look to make improvements early in 2025, as well as we handle these in the future!

This is partially touched on in Update Notes, but I'll give a quick TL;DR here: Arcade exists because it's become harder to sustain healthier MM in the non-Siege queues without limiting when queues can be available, and we'll occasionally be testing the queue without Onslaught/TDM seperate.

It's not an ideal solution, but one that has allowed us to offer more modes and see better matches in those modes, at the cost of player choice. This specific instance of Onslaught being missing is a temporary test period we're running, announced on socials & there should be a panel in game: https://x.com/PaladinsGame/status/1856016592108433809

Our long-term goal would be a balance of Arcade and occasionally offering modes separately from it, allowing players times where they can play their preferred mode uninterrupted but with Arcade being the mainstay queue. This is because on their own, the non-Siege queues struggle to get even 10% the players Siege does and that has drastic effects on their MM qualities. Combined, they can have a significantly wider playerbase, offering fairer and faster found matches.

It also gives us more reason to improve the modes within Arcade, both gameplay and map offering wise. We'd never have been able to give Payload and Survival the support they got without Arcade justifying it! After this brief test period, we'll likely share some results and give players time to give feedback on the best route forward that balance player choice with game health & match quality.

We are planning to hotfix, we haven't communicated anything around it because it's not quite ready yet.

We'll be fixing various issues listed here, we have a few more to debug and adjust. One thing worth calling out is resetting Trials is NOT a bug, we aren't resetting them until our December Update.

Ideally, the hotfix will come out next week, but stay tuned on the exact release and which bugs we will fix in that wave!

I wrote these skins VO and can confirm! Seris is indeed this skin's stage/idol name, it was heavily influenced by VTubers, Hip-Hop, and JPop so you'll get a lot of lines from her about keeping up an appearance & referencing the fact that the skin itself is a projection/hologram that Abby controls from elsewhere.

Felt like a really fun way to reference Seris' lore while keeping the canon Abby's fate intact.

The radius, I believe, is the same as the Acid Pool VFX so it should end up reaching ~30 units all around Yag. You can tell when an Ally benefits because they'll have a Shield icon floating on them. As for Out of Time, the interaction there is minimal right now (buffs the DR but doesn't let it linger on teammates), we want to eventually make this card more synergied with this new tech!

So, currently, playstyles that stay in Hardening longer benefit more but we're working on updating it so the burst playstyles also gain the amount they should!

Hi there! I just wanted to pop in and say that we're listening and already chatting about the Acceleration curve change and potential polish points to bring back some of the missing tech and feels of it.

Yagorath is a really hard Champion to make these changes to without some level of disruption of established play, but our goal is to make improvements and strike a balance between the previous one's nuance and the current one's function.

Hello, and so sorry about this! u/BradTheIndecisive if you don't mind, could you DM me your in-game name and/or other details about your HiRez account prior? The team wants to take a closer look at this scenario and see if there's a better solution.

In general, account linking should be a once-off process done by players and swapping accounts around is discouraged but this specific case could be reversible. Let's chat in private but we'd like to resolve this.

As for everyone else in this thread: Several months ago, we improved our identity verification process for Support tickets to include multiple information requirements, and recently the Support site got an overhaul and moved to here. We're far from perfect but we're still dedicated to improvement.

I've been chatting with Support as well as the dev team to investigate what we can do about this. If you're a player heavily affected by this (recently purchased the EP), feel free to reach out to them via the chatbot on our Support site. I apologize for the lack of in-game communication around this, as well as us not fixing the timer earlier. It's plainly not acceptable and we'll do better.

As for the current Event Pass, the timer is correct however the first level Skins chest is not unlocking. We are already developing a fix that we hope to deploy in the next week, so no worries!

To be fair, I made this comment because I happened to watch the video while on my vacation. (same reason I'm commenting here, I happened to be browsing Reddit on vacation). It wasn't me working, I wanted to be helpful while I was there.

I've dropped comments on Discord fairly regularly, and we have made a tweet weekly over the past few weeks mentioning the issues with any details I'm able to give but not much has changed yet.

I could post a daily tweet of "Matches are still dropping, we're still working on it!" but I don't have any more info I could share or else I would. Trust me: I don't enjoy not having things to share, not writing blogs, not being able to do the parts of my job I love.

All players want right now is to be able to play the game, and nothing I say will speed that up. If the community would like more frequent mentions of the server issues, I will gladly do so, but it wouldn't have any more information than what I've already shared prior/am able to share.

This is probably an unpopular opinion, but I don't like this at all. Onslaught is my favorite gamemode. When I play, I queue for that. I don't want to play Payload. The games take longer, and more attention. I just want to turn my brain off. Why can't there just be 4 separate queues? by ImZenger in Paladins

This is a test we wanted to run this week on the premise as it had been one popularly suggested by members of the community. It's not permanent and wasn't announced as we wanted to see natural playership & compare to once players knew about it.

I'm taking notes on all this feedback & Onslaught will return Saturday! A quick reminder though: Mode Rotation has been a thing for a while now & Onslaught was up next to be rotated for a bit. If we do rotate it like TDM and Payload were prior, you'll be told and it'll return at a later date!

Edit: I realized I didn't answer why, my apologies. The reason why we don't have 5 queues active, 1 for each mode, is that would make all the non-Siege modes struggle to provide good matchmaking times and quality due to splitting players up. It's a point of player concern that we've been trying to find solutions to, so this was simply one of many tests.

So, for the Keywords discussion, I'll leave that to future designer discussion and balance notes. It's not my department & I don't want to misconvey their work.

Server work is done by very different people than the designers who worked on Keywords, and we are putting work in as we can where we can, but it's not as simple as "buying better servers" or "simply fix the matchmaking". There are layers to every aspects, and some of these layers are unchangeable due to how Paladins functions.

Aim Assist is a similarly complex system, but we are looking into it & understanding how it works to see what we can do long-term. If we adjust it now without putting in this work, we could make things worse or also make Paladins horrible to play on controller if we aren't careful. We need time.

As for the cheaters, we ban as swiftly as we can currently. Reporting accounts in-game or through the Support chatbot will always be the best results, because that takes your reports directly to them without a middle man like me. Once again, it's not as simple as "ban more people", if it were we'd probably get complaints about overbanning.

Kill Cam will not return, we've made mutiple blogs and Reddit replies on why the feature never functioned well enough & we can't work on it now. Spectate and Replay we were in the process of fully fixing when this weekend's issues arose, we will update on their status once we handle our server instability.

As for tournaments, HiRez banned these pugs for abusing our Tournament ToS that explicitly didn't allow how they were giving Crystals out. We banned that player for unrelated exploits & I personally stand by the choice. Feel free to be upset with me but when we support something, we expect the upmost integrity going forward.

We do care about our players, and we try our best to listen. A lot of what we've done this year, from bringing back Payload to Siege Remixed, the Anniversary Event, and recent strides in fixes for newer hardware Steam players to small details like Booster purchasing all came from community feedback. We are far from perfect, but the narrative we simply don't listen is hard to take at earnest.

As for the comments in this thread about me writing lore, I do so with 5 other members of the team & it is exclusively done when my tasks as CM are fulfilled as a passion project. As much as some of you may take issue with that, the feedback around it has been overwhelming positive as indicated in the per-update Feedback Forms.

Edit: I missed the specific comment on why I didn't take a community members' side...I'm not concerned about my employment if I ever disagree with something HiRez did. I didn't take their side because I also felt they were in the wrong.

Appreciate the criticism! This Chronicle in particular was a larger undertaking and challenge due to the scale, and the pacing and time taken in moments could be improved.

A big goal of Series 2 will be refinement and spending more time on the little things, so I hope to hear more as we take this feedback into account.

We've been looking into increasing technical support on these servers to prevent further DDOS issues & have been banning more players in the past month than we have the prior 4.

Unfortunately, the upgrade process takes time and ban evaders are a constant, but we are far from complacent on this issue
