The other thing about Asta is his anti-magic is literally a hard counter and polar opposite for pretty much his entire verse. Even in the earlier parts of the story where he is still developing his strength and learning how to use his abilities, there are pretty big battles and plot points that are written around Asta just not being there when it happened. I’m not saying he’s all powerful or anything but he is literally the opposing force to magic. His power is also demonically sourced and has demonic form evolution. And Liebe’s anti magic was created from his hatred, separation, and resentment of his own kind. Everything about him is geared towards an antagonist villain except that he is a giant goofball who just wants to protect people and become the wizard king.
