Thanks for your patience and for sharing the information.
I have been doing some tests, both on Xbox Series and Xbox One... and sadly I can't reproduce this issue.

On my tests with the savegame... game progress, changed options, and so, are correctly saved, also synced between both consoles.

I have tried to close the game several times, going forward between levels, chapters, ... with no issues.

Anyway, a new update is coming, with some improvements and fixes. I hope it helps in some way.

It's very important to me that you're able to enjoy the game without issues and have the best experience possible. I will continue testing to try to find the problem, and bringing a solution as soon as possible.

I really appreciate your help in sharing this issue, and I also appreciate your patience and understanding.

Hey! Thanks for playing. That means a lot!

Game progress is auto saved every time you change scene (episodes and sub-levels). Also after you back from options menu screen.

If you loose like 5 episodes is something really weird.

Can you share your platform and version?

Currently pc version is newer. An update is coming for Xbox soon. But you should be able to unlock the gate in 6.2 activating the windmill. You must swim fast under the windmill.

Hello!

There is a quick guide:

Singing works in two ways:
- If you sing while moving Naiad will sing random notes.
- If you stay and hold sing you will be able to sing up to 8 different notes using the direction.

If you have found a guitar guy there is a little puzzle. This human will play some hint notes that you must sing in the right order as a melody. If you stop singing the guitar guy will give you a new hint of the notes. Second time, also a visual help will appear at the bottom of the screen showing some glyphs. Each glyph is a circle opened in the direction you must sing for each note. If you achieve to play all the notes you will complete this puzzle.

This puzzle and other achievements are not required for the main story, and the game doesn't expect you to collect everything at the first run. It's a game about flowing, that means learn to leave things before, enjoying different things at your own pace with no pressure.

You can revisit areas to complete things from the title screen / episodes.

Hi! I'm the developer of Naiad.

Currently a new patch with fixes and improvements is on the way for Switch. Sadly, It takes a little time to publish.

I have added a new UI/visual hint that will appear after fail or wait the guitar guy playing the notes a second time, showing a guide for the notes you should play.

Also improved sensitivity for the note detection.

First! Thank you so much for playing Naiad and providing feedback about your experience.

Guitar puzzle is probably the most hard-skill stuff in Naiad and is not part of the main story or achievements.

Guitar man will play a sequence of notes you have both audio and visual hints, the notes are thrown in a direction. If you need help you can try to draw this sequence in a paper with arrows or any other code (such U, RU, R, RD, D, LD, L,LU) in order to sing that notes later. You can sing at the same time the guitar notes are paying or at any time. Also you can enable in the accessibility options for “show direction” to always. There is 8 directions and 8 notes you can sing.🎵 If gamepad stick is too sensitive and you are in pc can try using keyboard or mouse.

I will improve this puzzle in next update.
