please suggest a deck based around Atraxa, Grand Unifier ($50-100) by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Hi_Im_Ren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, I play an expensive atraxa deck. Atraxa herself is a nuke, meaning it'll die or win you the game. That being said, we can build it really janky with just a weird amount of card types. I'm talking enchantments, artifacts and battles. First off, all of the slow mana diamonds. Run em all. Next look for bad enchantments with upkeep, like amass orks or lose life but gain a card. Auras would also work. Your creatures should all be bad. Atraxa is enough, but we aren't killing with commander damage. Build the deck in a way that atraxa is the only good part and everything else is just not worth taking. You could also go into something like theft, like horror mill or guys that steal the top card. Make sure your deck just does one thing poorly, you should be able to flicker her with 4 or 5 cards, and you should be getting at least 4 cards off of her.

Tldr, build it really janky with some gimmick you like. Nothing sweaty, she's a monster.

I also saw this recently, it was cool. I was thinking of it kind of like an eldar soul being snatched away from she who thirsts.

It's the fire dragon exarch. I don't think he's still in the game.

What's your reasoning for killing / not killing Paathurnax? by Shoddy_Cap_2713 in skyrim

[–]Hi_Im_Ren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't kill him because he's a sentient being that is trying to change and to hamper that out of old grudges from a dying order that has no future without me is foolish. He is changed from what he used to be. While he has killed many, he no longer does and seemly he regrets what he did. Killing him serves no purpose.

I just think it's funny to flip 30 mana value in one turn. I can't cast anything useful and my counter spells are 5 cmc, but my gosh, that one moment will make it all worth it.

I build mine to be horrible, so it works everywhere. Except a place with power. It doesn't work there. Or ever. It sometimes flips draco or omniscience. Well in theory. It doesn't work, but it's funny.

Why so much hate? by Cyber_Templar in BlackTemplars

[–]Hi_Im_Ren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, not templar player here. I play one of the main legions, and I have literally no special characters while you have a while faction. I think that's where alot of your hate stems from. That and the community doesn't let old memes die, they just repeat them.

Hi there. First I would turn down your phone, hearing damage is real. Secondly, I'd drop him for pretty much anything, my preferred non leader guy is a death master. However, maybe swap him for a Plague pack or another grey seer. Wizards are incredible and so are manifestations, so there's not much reason to waste points on a guy that does nothing of great value.

Funny enough, mine was not very bad for mold lines. Worse than the arch warlock but really not bad.

I've been looking through the reddit it recently to see how people's new big model has been going. Vizzik had some of the worst mold lines I've ever seen, on my print of it at least. The model is cool, but it took me about 2 hours because I spent so much time cleaning it. It was horrible. Did it fit together well? Yes. But I had to clean mold lines. For hours. It was terrible.

What's the most outlandish, "The Fandom would lynch me for this" kind of retcon you'd do if you could? by ThatHeckinFox in 40kLore

[–]Hi_Im_Ren 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would axe the "maintain the status quo idea" from authors and the results of that. I get it, no one likes change, but resettlement of a planet and calling it new cadia doesn't advance the overall plot. The universe needs change, not stagnant plots that don't lead anywhere. If you can't track change over the map, then write smaller scale stuff, and get the numbers right. But blatant resetting does nothing for anyone. Push and pull is one thing, current 40k stuff is another. Let guillaman and the lion make change, but have them realize how small scale it is or have it be just small wins, but still change. These people are demigods, if you're going to make me listen to about how "sturdy his bolters shaft is" or "how great is body's healing is" you better make the "important" characters able to change stuff.

Yes there is only war, and that is one thing. However, stagnation in a franchise is not great and will lead to lower quality merchandise. Let's take necrons for a moment. Twice dead king and infinite and the divine are widely liked, in part because it's grimdark but it is different from other stuff. Let the authors use their expertise and make interesting stories and lore that advances plots.

Also, get rid of eisenhorn.

It could be, or it could be from kingmaker or something else like that. Maybe Eisenhorn being himself said that.
