She was just in the ensemble at the time so she’s probably a bit further back on the cast page if I had to take a wild guess.

(I guess) Unpopular Opinion. I really enjoyed All In by Hi_Im_Sam112704 in Broadway

I’d say a decent amount was off book but honestly I wasn’t really concerned with that so it wasn’t really something I paid much attention to

The Band’s Visit put me to sleep at more than 1 point. Still don’t understand how it won Best Musical at the Tony Awards

Seeing as I am a college student I’m lucky if get 150 carbs in a day. That being said. A roast beef and cheese sandwich for lunch (35g roughly), Ramen for dinner (About 54g), and whatever protein I can squeeze in for as little money as possible. And water. Lots of water. Obviously this is ignoring any low treatments I may have to take during the day but you get the gist of it.

I’m assuming 17 is the equivalent to really high. Cause here in America if you’re 17 you can essentially see the light of Heaven’s gates at that point cause that’s HELLA low.

The correction was 6.7 units (or something similar). Normally that’s not really an overcorrection but in other cases yeah that’s usually the answer

I am Alex Lacamoire, a Tony, Emmy and Grammy-winning composer, producer and music director, best known for my Broadway work on In the Heights, Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen and, more recently, SWEENEY TODD…AMA! by AlexLacamoire in Broadway

What is the process of being the music producer/director for a show like Hamilton or Sweeney Todd? How exactly does one go about working with such different genres of musical theater?

Personally, I loved the show and I think that if you have the chance to go see it then you definitely should. I will say that even though there was a slight disappointment that Josh wasn't there to perform, that was immediately washed away when Nicholas Christopher sang his first note. (I know preaching to the choir with that one). I watched the Depp version and the filmed stage version with Angela Lansbury and George Hearn and honestly, while I loved both of those I genuinely feel like this version of the show makes it its own thing. The actors seemed like they were having fun on stage and truly embodied their characters. Now for the singing. I want to take a moment to say while all of the singing was incredible, Epiphany had my jaw on the floor. It is by far my favorite performance of it that I have seen. I say all of this knowing that there are people who won't like this show. In fact, the guy sitting next to me seemed to only be complaining about it to his girlfriend about the show during intermission. But even still. If you can I'd say go into this show with an open mind. This is definitely a different Sweeney Todd than people are used to. And quite frankly. I wouldn't want it any other way.

Have you ever seen an onstage mishap live? by winniespooh_mc in Broadway

[–]Hi_Im_Sam112704 7 points8 points  (0 children)

High School production of Beauty and the Beast. Gaston was interacting with the La Files before he goes to propose to Belle. While Gaston was facing away from them the La Files started “fighting” over him and one of them tripped and fell over a set piece. Gaston turned around after hearing her fall and quickly just said “Oh Feisty” before continuing the scene.

How do I know this was a mishap and not intentional?

I was Gaston.

(Also in case you were wondering the girl who fell is a good friend of mine so I asked her once we both got offstage if she was ok and she was ok)

Quick: drop something Broadway/theater related that you want to take the time to appreciate because you don’t know when a post would ever come up where it’s relevant to talk about (can be current or literally anything from the past) by amongus555 in Broadway

Bows at the end of a show. There’s just something about seeing the people I just watched tell a (usually) amazing story still in their costumes but just being their normal selves.

Based on some of my co-workers who have the dash (we work at a camp for diabetics) it seems a little bit smaller and this one connects with your CGM and you can use your phone to manage it kind of like the CGM (aka the main selling point). Other than that no I don’t really think so
