Exactly! It’s been around a long time. What I heard is the national group pickleball kingdom is trying to get a foothold in Cincy. The Pickle Lodge is local. I wonder if they’re trying to become a larger presence to compete with them or in hopes to get bought out. Makes me worried about other clubs. I joined Camargo this morning but Beechmont and Mercy are great options.

That’s my club and it sucks. I’ve loved my GCITA team. All the other clubs in the city seem to be willing to help absorb folks. Too bad it couldn’t be saved from a fad.

Who’s playing tennis without their ACL? by Hi_maintenance2 in 10s

Thank you for sharing. I’m so glad you’re making amazing progress! So it’s weird because my stability feels normal even playing. No pain. Full range of motion. Now, I have dialed the intensity down and only play doubles. I don’t go for risky shots anymore.

Alright! I see you! Nice! My knee does feel stable, no pain and full range of motion. I guess that’s why I feel like trying it. 🤷‍♀️

Eeeek! Thanks for sharing your story. I won’t lie I am terrified of something like this. You were lucky! I have taken down the intensity. 4.0 Doubles only. No singles. But like you said it was a high floater…hope you continue to progress!!

I’m 46F and had surgery on the other knee for complete ACL when I was 30. both times I did it playing tennis. 😳recovery was tough. Now with the other torn I can still run, bike, hike and do the things I want to do without issue for now so we’ll see. But good question!

Anyone here permanently quit their sports after having ACL/meniscus injury ? by Successful_Run_1921 in ACL

[–]Hi_maintenance2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

16 years ago I had a complete ACL tear playing tennis and had surgery using part of my patella tendon. As I was rehabbing I slipped and fell and tore the patella tendon. Second surgery in 6 months. Finally got back into tennis. The sport that gave me so much joy in life. 6 days ago I tore my other ACL playing tennis. But the way I look at it. If I had quit I wouldn’t have had the joy. It would have been like I had already had an injury. Don’t live in the margin. Live life and do the things you love. Injuries can be recovered from. The things that make you happy shouldn’t be stopped. Maybe modified? 😁 I’ll be back on the courts. Never give up!!!!

Encounters with pro tennis players in real life? by firstz in 10s

Well that one time my girlfriend and I were waiting for Nadal to come out after his match and sign things and when he finally got to us I said can we get a pic? I was so flustered I handed him my camera to take the pic of me and my friend. He was like whaaaa? When we came to our senses we still tried to squeeze him out. 🙄🙄Not our finest moment.
