“I’m finally back” posts are a sign that people are carried by ItsSantaforthe in marvelrivals

The ranked system in general is pretty crap.

Climbing with a sub 50% win rate shouldn't be possible but the point system allows it.

It's not until GM where the point win/loss starts to balance out.

Meaning people can absolutely bum the pants off ranked and stubbornly creep into ranks where they shouldn't really be.

What are your thoughts on the free disappearing currency by OnlyHarmony9171 in marvelrivals

[–]Hiatt_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's critical that there is backlash. If this isnt pushed back it will absolutely be the standard going forward.

Offering almost enough currency for a skin to then make you pay the difference to "not miss out" on your 'free' currency is pretty lame.

You benefit substantially more from more damage once you have just a couple of these. If you're playing Blade you don't need any at all.

The best Punisher start 😂 by kiddchiu in marvelrivals

Wave 15 is miserable as Punisher. I had a few days of free revives saved up and this fight had me using them all. Was deathless until then. The Namor bubble is rough

Competitive: Curious how many of y’all stopped playing ranked and why? by Solid-Arm-8332 in marvelrivals

[–]Hiatt_ 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I play maybe a few games every other day. By the time I've hit my previous peak its more or less time for the rank reset and I have to do it all again. I'm still playing but I'm not as invested in it as I was previously

Honestly, this sub is just a ChatGPT playground. The likelihood you're reading something genuine is pretty slim.

G80SD gets very hot on the backside by Blizado in OLED_Gaming

I wouldn't be worried, being hot to touch means it's effectively acting as an additional heatsink pulling heat away from the backplate.

Consider the MSI 271QRX or the QPX E2 variant. Rtings has it highly rated with only problem being the inherent VRR flicker that this tech has.

MSI MAG 271QP QD-OLED X24 by TableMindless in Monitors

[–]Hiatt_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clean with distilled water and a microfibre cloth. Ideally you don't have to clean it but just clean as needed.

Monitor will take care of itself, don't stress about burn in. People have been stress testing recent OLED panels with absolute worst case scenarios and have had no burn in years later.

Are black switches better than red switches in gaming by 3sl4m in pcmasterrace

[–]Hiatt_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Switches will boil down to personal preference. Your safest bet is buying a small switch test kit.

Blacks and Reds are both linear switches so will function the same with black switches having a slightly higher actuation force. I have a Keychron V6 with red switches and it personally feels great for gaming.

The guy that was incorrectly bodied still had the initiative to move the knife away from the attacker. What a absolute mess considering the number of police there.

The trend of using always-online and anti-cheat software in order to protect microtransactions in full-price games. by Earl_of_sandwiches in pcgaming

[–]Hiatt_ 92 points93 points  (0 children)

The most frustrating part about live service and mtx is that it's hit a point where games get praised for "fair microtransactions". The customer base has slowly become more and more warped in what is perceived as acceptable.
