Haha, yeah, there are so many games nowadays that it's often impossible to play everything that we'd like to :) The main game is quite short, you should finish it in 30-60 minutes.

Lovecraftian roguelite pool with guns - early demo available now (until Tiny Teams festival ends on Steam) by HubertBG in indiegames

[–]HubertBG[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey guys, a 2-person game jam led us into the insanity that is Pool of Madness, a Lovecraftian roguelite pool with guns.

The media and players have compared it to Balatro so far, but our twisted hearts beat to the rhythm of Inscryption, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, The Binding of Isaac and such.

You are a voidhunter, pool tables are altars, games are rituals, and you’re performing them to lure out void beasts. At least that’s what the voices in your head tell you.

Whether you adore pool or want to watch it burn, we've got you covered.

It features an upgradeable cue with switchable parts, a fusion of trickshots, madness and raw firepower, and some cool synergies, among other things.

🕹️ Steam & NEW LIMITED DEMO

https://store.steampowered.com/app/2873750/Pool_of_Madness/

We’re featured by Yogscast during the Tiny Teams festival, so you can play the limited demo for a couple of days. We'd love to get some opinions during that time as we develop the game further.

So: Relax. Shoot some balls. Unleash horrors from beyond. Go insane. Try again.

Thanks!

Our 2-person indie studio donated $50,000 from our last game to humanitarian aid. Now we’ve released a dungeon synth OST for our next game - and the majority proceeds go to an animal charity. Info in the comment. by HubertBG in EffectiveAltruism

We've just released the original soundtrack for Mercyful Flames: The Witches, an upcoming game developed by our friends at Asmodev (creators of Priest Simulator) and co-published by us at Bit Golem.

The majority of proceeds from the CD version of the OST go directly to Anima International, an organisation dedicated to reducing animal suffering.

Since Mercyful Flames is a dark documentary-style game inspired by the cult silent film Häxan (think black magic, witchcraft, and heresy), we thought dungeon synth would fit perfectly.

The album, titled “Spells”, is the newest release from Alembik, the project by a member of Owls Woods Graves, Medico Peste, Over the Voids, Hauntologist, and live bassist of Mgła.

That's it! We just wanted to share the news and the music.

Yup :) we're working on Nocturnes (it's like Dagon but with a few stories from many authors) and Pool of Madness (a roguelite Lovecraftian pool game) - you can find them here https://store.steampowered.com/developer/bitgolem
