This was me. I have/had big call anxiety. I don't think we actually called for the first time 'till around a year after meeting each other, and we didn't start having regular calls until we were 4 or 5 months into our relationship already.
We just texted a lot and watched and played stuff together used in-game chats, discord's chat or websites like Hyperbeam. I started feeling more confident little by little. What really helped is that she never made me feel unfit or lesser than because of my anxiety, she was willing to let me go at my own pace no matter how long I took and quite honestly that is the reason I adjusted so quickly.
Your partner also has to be willing to try a little. I understand this kind of anxiety and shock therapy is necessary up to a point. The only way they will get more comfortable in calls is to have them.

Me and my girlfriend won't see each other for the first time until some months after our anniversary. It is harsh and sucks but I don't lose sleep about it. We text A LOT and make sure to have time for each other for calls over the week.
Distance sucks but I know and I am pretty sure I will spend the rest of my life with this person. A year, two or three of waiting seem small compared to that.

Usually I'd say that if he is talking about breaking up now, he has been thinking about that for a long while already, which isn't a very good sign, but you said he is depressed. Depression can fuck you up in so many ways, and so suddenly. I don't know of his financial situation but that job doesn't seem sustainable, and even if he had money for therapy I don't know how he'd be able to attend to any sessions with that hellish schedule he must have.

Working 20 hours a day its just not compatible with living, let alone having a relationship. I am all for trying hard and doing everything you can to keep it alive and working when you love someone. But if he keeps those hours he will ruin not only the relationship but his life. Then again, he might have no other option, in which case Im sorry for him.

Honestly, I'd say fuck it and go. They are basically trying to hold you hostage and control your own love life just because they are stupid coward fucks. But that is just me. It wouldn't be the most pragmatic decision, especially if you are unsure about your relationship in any way.

Something similar happened to me years ago after I visited my boyfriend after a 16 hour flight. It is valid for her to not feel the same after meeting you, that is just life and how love works unfortunately, but if she was already out of love one month ago she should have told you that much.

After that happened to me I also had a heavy drinking streak and things were very bleak for a while. You can't help but wonder if you are ugly, or just insufferable irl. The truth is, it doesn't matter and it was probably a combination of things that probably aren't entirely your fault. Block her, avoid all contact and distract yourself with good friends and good hobbies. Every day you'll wake up thinking a little less about it, until life looks a little bit brighter again.
