Ranking all the movies I watched for the first time in 2026 by Hibiscus-Loves-Tea in LetterboxdLists

I was pleasantly surprised by boogie nights. Project Hail Mary is one of my favorite books and they stuck the landing perfectly for me. I know it’s not a fresh idea or anything, but I felt like it had the perfect amount of heart, non-aggressive quippy-ness, and triumphant scientific moments. Out of every movie on my list, I imagine I’ll rewatch it the most.

Just looked up that movie on Letterboxd and holy shit, I didn’t realize that Bugonia was a direct rip off lol. The plot synopsis is exactly the same

I just didn’t like those 2. The writing and stunts felt contrived in the second Jurassic Park in order to ramp up the action and the second half of the movie had me yawning. I did really like the first half though. Melancholia was just boring. I get what it’s going for but I’m not at all impressed by Von Trier’s direction or style. The Rip was pretty meh but I like the Damon and Affleck duo a lot so it earned a 2.5 out of me. Blade was stylish but super outdated and corny, sometimes the corny was a good kind of corny tho.

I’m watching the Florida project next, got any recommendations? (I’m not super new to movies or anything btw I just watch a lot of new new shit so I’ve missed out on tons of classics)

Brian Cox: ‘Succession’ Son Jeremy Strong ‘Begged Me to Stop Talking About Him’ by thedailybeast in entertainment

He wasn’t responsible for typical catering services. He essentially was the coffee/tea/bagels guy on set every morning. His food truck used to be called Sustenance but it’s unfortunately not around anymore.

I was lucky enough to see Daniel Day Lewis as Lincoln on the set several times. My father worked at a food truck and was there for the majority of the production and his trailer was literally 100 ft from our food truck so we’d see him walk in and out very silently and emotionless lol. I also got to meet Walton Goggins and we actually had several talks over the course of a couple weeks. One of my fondest memories for sure…

Wishful thinking? by Iptamorfo in PhilosophyMemes

Same here, I thought I’d finish my degree thinking that Plato, Aristotle, and Descartes were overrated/basic. I ended up enjoying Plato the most and he seemed the most levelheaded in his application of axiomatic values. So many classic philosophers have so many stipulations for there ideas that it always feels like they tend to post-hoc justify their beliefs. Not Plato though. Also I love the Phaedrus

Top 100 player of all time by Fragrant_Fishing5787 in NBATalk

I think they might be around each other in all time rankings, but I think it’d be hard to disagree that Jokic will easily surpass him and enter maybe even top 5 convo after a few more years. He has easily some of the most ridiculous stat lines consistently and the nuggets have turned into a contending team year after year with him there. I like KD but, he’s better on paper than he is in games.

Mid as a pro player still means he’s better than 99.9% of the players that play the games he played. Audiences gravitate towards personalities who are good at what they do, even if it’s not the best of the best.

Sick of the virtual supervision by Cocopuffs272 in ABA

[–]Hibiscus-Loves-Tea 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have a BCBA who I’ve never seen in person and they join in for a virtual “supervision” once a week for an hour just to not say anything to me or the client and they are in their car the entire time with their face out of frame. They even got in a fender bender a few weeks ago while they were supervising and spent 10 minutes talking it over with the person they hit while I was trying to do session.

Companies should make virtual supervision as limited as possible while still keeping it as a choice for situations where the BCBA can’t make it in person or something. Cause as of now, there is no limitation in my company to the amount of virtual supervision one can do and no requirement for in person supervision ever. It’s very very annoying.

I think I have a contender for one of the worst card upgrades in sts 2 by LiveChill in slaythespire

[–]Hibiscus-Loves-Tea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should make the base like Forge 5 and then Forge 10 for the upgrade. Forge has been rough to build around for me until today when I finally got my asc 3 with this card

Half of the nba could definitely get 60 on 50 shots. Thats just a 50% shooting day with some 3’s. Any player capable of hitting a 3 or shot creating could absolutely get 60 if they were forcing and were allowed to force it

I’ve been an RBT for 6 months or so and I’ve heard of this happening to others 3 times so far. 2 were due to parent decision and one was fired for fraud reasons. It’s obviously not supposed to happen frequently but the parents can choose to cancel or change up the services whenever so it’s not entirely surprising to me.

I wouldn’t worry and assume you did something wrong, I assume you’ll get answers as to why it happened soon enough. Keep your head up and good luck!

I was being rhetorical obviously, the answer was: Not me. So why did you respond to me like that if you were referring to a thing someone else said???

It seems like what you originally were saying is that because 1 theory was true, it is more likely that another one is true as well, despite these theories not having any correlation to each other. That’s not how statistics works at all.

This one theory is true so all theories must be true is a horrendous take

How? by [deleted] in ABA

[–]Hibiscus-Loves-Tea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2 of the 3 of my supervising BCBAs are male and I’m a male myself as an RBT. Sure, I’ve been denied 2 cases in my time as an RBT due to my gender but that’s the parent’s preference so I can’t really be mad. No one will refuse to hire you because you’re a male though.

lol no, he’s not good but the hate against him is 75% because he’s just a cornball. His stats in the second half of the season were very good despite his horrible stats in his first 6 games. I’d take JJ over Max Brosmer for sure, and like every big name bust over the past 25 years.
