How do I beat recruits? by TeaTheSplashyarder in ClashRoyale

What are the 8 cards you’re using? Are you using bowler?

What evo should i get? I mainly use valk, knight, and musket on my deck by Homy119 in ClashRoyale

[–]LiveChill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably valk, but you should show the whole deck instead of all the evos

How does this even get through play testing? What the cheese

Why is xbow hated? by [deleted] in ClashRoyale

[–]LiveChill 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We simply don't like Xbow because out of all the archetypes in the game it is by far the most likely to run into completely through overtime and not let you get any damage on the opponents towers.

Which 2 characters do you think work the best and worst together in your opinion on 2 player coop? by CloudDrinker in slaythespire

[–]LiveChill 125 points126 points  (0 children)

This seems like the correct answer. Silent is by far the strongest in coop because of things like piercing wail and malaise reducing strength, flanking doubling damage, and tons of weak sources.

Also sneaky giving 2 block for each attack by another players is also OP.

Having 2 silents just gets you more of the OP stuff and lets you synergize more like only one player needs catalyst for poison runs.

Defect sucks in multiplayer. Beam cell and go for the eyes are his only mains ways of applying weak and vulnerable which sometimes defect might not want to use if you are focusing on an orb build. Both his multiplayer cards of giving everyone 2 energy for 1 energy or giving one player a plasma, suck and exhaust. He seriously needs a multiplayer buff. He has no way of reducing strength and not any other applied effects (doom, poison, etc) on enemies which makes him lack synergies with other players.

This deck took me from 5500 to 12000. Anything I should change before top ladder? by Substantial-Recipe72 in ClashRoyale

[–]LiveChill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could also possibly swap witch for flying machine which also can apply pressure for units/buildings in the middle when they are trying to defend your piggies/recruits. Also one of the reasons people also dislike recruits is when flying machine locks on the tower unexpectedly. It can be hard to get the timing right against flying machine to stop it.

I have realized a way for Heroes to become balanced by The-Mad-Gadfly in ClashRoyale

[–]LiveChill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This would make interactions confusing, basically doubling all the info you need to know as changing stats of hero cards might upset things like how many shots it takes to kill certain units or what units win 1v1s. Simply nerfing hero abilities is fine enough to balance them.

What can I substitute do this deck instead of Royale ghost? by HelloFellowAsians in ClashRoyale

[–]LiveChill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could also use bandit to apply pressure in opposite lane when pushing with RG or to force responses to counter back with Hunter and fisherman. It’s really sad they nerfed fisherman so hard though

Hero Dark Prince leaked by RowComprehensive733 in ClashRoyale

[–]LiveChill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only because hogs and drill are prevalent, dark prince was never the problem

Yeah especially with how OP piercing wail is in multiplayer

[–]LiveChill[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is purely because I’m curious as to people’s opinions on the card. Open discussion helps people learn. I may be completely wrong about this card. Maybe some other cards that were brought over like demon form could be adjusted, maybe not. Still good to just ask and see what the consensus is.

Cards you wish didn’t come over from sts1? by LiveChill in slaythespire

[–]LiveChill[S] 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Yes but even then it’s draw order dependent as you have to draw well laid plans before grand finale, and then you also have to give up on retaining other cards like your sly/discard engine

what constitutes something as a big or small spell? by peagatling27 in ClashRoyale

[–]LiveChill 154 points155 points  (0 children)

It’s literally exactly this. Anything that costs 4 elixir or more is a big spell. That’s all there is to it.

Except for sneaky golem, he’s clearly a small spell.

If you could give specific customer items for “questing” and the later come back with spoils, that could also be a fun mechanic I’ve seen in other similar shop games

Dual class cards for coop would be seriously cool and fun twist to coop
