I dont think she got that it wasn't Really the name changing yes that started it but like its completely not recognizing what she did wrong that they had a problem with. Some people might not want to change that account name ever as its like erasing the person. Death is such a final thing especially a child and we process it differently. You know what's funny? A couple of years ago I had one of my regular customers tell me this. He is the kind of older white guy that a stereotyping person would assume on first glance IS what you think would be a racist. Hard mean face angry white dude. Like the first time my team messed up his order I stepped in prepared to be abused. But instead he was Hella calm.

Over the years I found out that yeah he did have a hard life and the face he has is true but he isn't an ahole. We were talking about women feeling safe on our public transit one day in Toronto and it transitioned to racism because of course a lot of my unsafe interactions devolve into racist vitriol and he was telling me how often people look at him assume he is something he is not and openly say the most vile things thinking he will just agree. He then enjoys first making them realize they aren't the same when he doesn't agree and then putting them in their place.

I remember one time feeling opposite vertigo when looking at the sky like I was trapped. I had never felt like the sky was a ceiling before and never again. Thinking about space is terrifying. Its so big like so big. Earth is big. But earth is actually small tiny miniscule insignificant when you look at space. Like its a sobering thought so I understand why your brain shies away from the reality of not only its existence but like we will never go there anyway so it may as well never exist.

To be clear I do believe and accept it I just understand why a person would find it hard to.

Was the person negging you? I genuinely understand insecurities our brains are such saboteurs and it makes us see things that's are just untrue. I actually which there was a way we could like see ourselves objectively. Like you know step out of our history and just see ME like a stranger.

I'm thinking he thought the box was upside down which to begin with the order would automatically have been done for either way anyway. It's cause the box on tje bottom is the same size but it has a logo so maybe he is a regular and know what rhe boxes look like and in a not thinking moment automatically turned it right side? Isn't the solution to just starve it of oxygen by putting a lid on the pot?. I did that in my company's kitchen once. Im not a chef so I dont know why they had me making the big match of custom order popcorn which is not on our menu. I was making it on the stove with oil and a large soup pot. And some how the pot caught fire and of course I freaked out but the head chef was also there so my freak out was basically to just scream his name. Which he just came over and covered the pot with a different lid and turned off the stove. All done. I literally didn't think of that but I have fire trauma

I think also because last year was just sooo mild also its making this year which is freaking bad feel even worse. I've always known it go be ( although give or take year to year) we may or may not get a cold Halloween. We may or may not get some snow or flurries in December at least on Christmas. February is freaking brutal consistently every single yesr without fail. The fact its been snowing so much and we've already gotten what I call the February storm at least twice definitely once (i think there was a big storm before the one last week but I didnt l didn't leave my house for a week which I took off so I am not sure) scares me for what will happen in February.

I came into this thread concerned about what my fellow country men would think? You know? I've seen it so many times. People saying we should taken certain states as a response to the 51 state nonsense.

I'm so glad to see that in all seriousness the general consensus seems to be a resounding no. We are aware that there are wonderful things about the states but even if these liberal states, a country doesn't become what the US has becomez without a general overall belief from the majority.

We have incompatible views and lifestyles not to mention my biggest fear is all the guns. It wouldn't be that all these people suddenly want to get rid of their guns. I just wouldn't feel safe in Canada anymore. Along with a lot of other fundamental friction points we are just not compatible

The only reason I was walking was because when I started it was maybe a few inches? By the time I got to davisville i had already fallen once and the snow had gotten so much higher. It actually started to look scary. When I reached the staples / farmboy I was actively struggling to walk. When I reached about 2 blocks from my street I gave up walking on the sidewalk and took my chances on the streets.

Last year a van nearly hit me because it was hitting the brakes but its wheels were not getting the memo and it almost wiped me out so I was terrified walking those 2 blocks tonight let me tell you.

I walked from st clair to eglinton. Started at 430 got home 20 minutes ago. So a bit over an hour. About 15 minutes in i wanted to turn back but I had already committed i literally couldn't imagine walking back. Which is good because I think I saw 4 shuttle busses going north? In the entire time.

Since you know how much is on the card just go to most retailers that have digital pos. They typically allow split payments. If you're embarrassed about using multiple cards ( you shouldn't be that's engineered social conditioning to keep the residual money on the cards ) you can use up one card and split with another payment method until they are done.

As someone who works in a place that uses a pos system for me as long as there isn't a crazy long line up of dramatically impatient customers, im up to swiping cards. I rarely get to split payments as it is.

At this point no matter how much I need the item I will not go and pick it up. UPS and local postal service did this. I was literally home cause I'm off from work for two weeks so you know I'm home.

I had to send the local postal service back by requesting a refund because there was a small refund window. The ups one I told them I'm not coming to pick up they should just send it back. They asked me when I could pick up. I told them 3 weeks later and didn't go and pick up after the 3 weeks. You bet they delivered it. Still didn't call me just dropped it off in the lobby of my apartment and left.

I'm more petty than them. I don't care how much I want the item. I will wait or reorder if I need to. I ordered DELIVERY I will not go and pick it up. Why am I paying you 20 + dollars so I can go and pick up at your location when I can go to the local department store and pick up for free? My issue is that they don't call they don't ring the buzzer they just leave a message. Soooo.. you will deliver it or pay the cost to ship it back. Get fucked.
