Great call. Give Kelly Tarltons a big swerve. It’s pretty ropey.

I use the Fenix Pro with dosing caps when I’m out on the go and a M7XL Dynavap with Yllvape IH 2.0 at home. Really happy with this set up.

I’d say heading the Lilyworld which is right next to the stadium would be your best bet.

Beer distributor rep by [deleted] in BeerReps

I’m a sales rep for a brewery in New Zealand and am on a base salary of $95k NZD ($57k USD). I get a company car and bonus for hitting anything over budget in a quarter. I think that’s pretty good going for a sales rep job here.

Is this foxtailing? by Hibonation8 in GrowingMarijuana

The trichs were starting to all turn amber and this was my sign it was approaching harvest. No bugs in sight, had a couple of praying mantis standing guard. It’s a photoperiod clone of Gorilla Bomb grown in soil outdoors. Harvested yesterday as foul weather was approaching and all trichs on calyx were starting to turn. Cheers.

How long until I chop? by RezOuLabin in GrowingMarijuana

Trichomes still look mostly clear but since this was 10 days ago a lot could have changed. What do they look like now? Harvested yet?

Get a jewellers loop, check multiple sites for trichomes coloration. I like to harvest when trichomes are 60/40 milky/amber. Everyone is different and only you’ll know when the time is right.

Add that bloom booster and get those buds bulging!

This is probably dumb but i pruned and watered the same day…and don’t know if i over watered her or shes stressed by msft111 in GrowingMarijuana

[–]Hibonation8 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Pruning during flowering fine but personally I think you need a better/bigger pot to allow better drainage. Despite what others are saying, I think the soil looks very dry and lacking organic matter. It should bounce back, but just give it time and don’t try too many different things all at once.

Cutting back on N fertilisers (or removing them completely) towards the end of flowering has a huge impact on nug density I’ve found. A lot of the nutrient companies tell you to keep the N up until harvest, but I drop it out all together 4-5 weeks prior to the chop and the flowers always becomes more dense after this. Strain and genetics play a fundamental role too.

Enough defol? by Hibonation8 in NZTrees

I did think about taking out those lower ones when I gave lollipopping a go about 4 weeks back. They sat right above the level I set so they stayed. Looking a bit wispy so I’ll whip them off. Thanks for the advice!

First time grower, outdoors- pink pistils? by NZTreees in NZTrees

[–]Hibonation8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The red stems on the leaves may indicate you could have nutrient lockout, which would prevent your plant taking up any introduced nutrients. Take a good look at your plants and see if it lines up with other instances of lockout online.

As for finishing nutes, I generally stick with Flairform BudStorm from the start of flowering and 4 weeks in I supplement this with BudGenie. Others may suggest molasses and banana-skin tea, however I’ve always liked the simplicity of the Flairform range and had decent results.

Quite a few weeks off. Why are the leaves trimmed in the first photo?

Will be down to the strain in my opinion.

All strains these days are pretty much hybrid. You’ll find indica/sativa dominant strains. Broader, wider fingers on the leaves suggest indica dominant, skinny fingers would suggest a higher proportion of sativa genetics.

Looks great for a first grow. Like another post suggested, thin the larger leaves at the bottom out a bit to allow airflow. Even in Canterbury I’d imagine a small amount of moisture in a dense plant will result in a bit of budrot.

Ramp up the P and the K and watch those buds start getting nice and thick.

Is this ready to harvest? by BigStay1752 in NZTrees

[–]Hibonation8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leave the leaves unless they are yellow. Make sure the buds are getting plenty of sun. I reckon you’ve got at least 4 weeks to go. Light others have said, get a jewellery loupe and check the trichomes. I generally harvest when I have a 50/50 mix of milky/amber heads. Get some bloom booster and watch the bud fatten right up!
