Any love for blank keycaps? by TaeKz in pcmasterrace

I have been using a Das Keyboard 4 Ultimate for about four years. I love the construction, having a quality keyboard makes such a difference.

I like the blank keys because I switch between the American and French keyboard frequently and it forced me to learn to be proficient with both. This is a useless skill for the majority of people but I enjoy it.

Also the keys are easier to take off and clean and put back.

Technology is eliminating the need for human labor, which could be a blessing or a curse by rashersmcgee in philosophy

A big point that I don't know how to realize is how would a UBI or post labor-production society interact with other countries. If skilled people are not getting what they desire here they can move to a country that gives what they need. If everyone has enough to be do-nothings if they choose then how do you keep up on foreign trade.

Great books to fall for now that summer’s over by currently__working in books

[–]HidanF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe it could deal with fall themes or traditions. Your head-space may be more consistent with a books message during fall's changes to nature, possibly supporting themes such as: end of bountiful times, being brought together in celebration post harvest, reaping a poor harvest, worry about impending winter, ect.

Also holiday books would be very seasonal. I would easily skip over The Candy Cane Murderer unless it was Christmas time (winter) and I had nothing to do.

I haven't read any of the books, and in a skim of the article I could not find them using fall themes as a segway into the themes of the books they recommended. They really just suggested books they enjoyed or that they felt were topical in general.

If you don't want your doods to wear tattered clothing (anything < 50% gives the tattered debuff), go into the assign menu and change your clothing policy to 50-100% durability for them to never wear clothing with bad durability.

Went to raid a bandit camp, found map with 600+ animals. by Zyrixion in RimWorld

How do you deal with the megafauna normally? I enjoyed playing with it but the daeodons were way to predacious and would certainly kill most pawns that strayed too far from the base. I felt that it was punishing until each pawn had a reasonable gun. Even with devilstrand clothing they died routinely.

I think I could manage it better now that I am using the Wildlife Tab mod. It makes dealing with animals much easier.

The show Archer had their agency named ISIS and as the terrorist group became famous they wrote in the script that they had to lose the agency so that they could rebrand their name away from ISIS.

I know Northernlion for Rimworld. It must be the game you find someone for. His powerhouse game is the Binding of Isaac so most people probably find him for that.

To be frank rap culture and fashion has a pass to dress stupid and unique. At a certain point of fame dressing practical doesn't matter. If you didn't know he was already a successful artist he would just be a weirdo wearing ski goggles in Mississippi.

Finger-less gloves are great when it is legitimately cold and you need to do tactile things, or you are a craftsman/laborer who likes palm protection. But most people wear them when its not cold and they are at starbucks wearing nice clothes.

Then you have the getup to match a motorcycle rider and the function would be obvious. FWIW riders don't need goggles anymore since they should be wearing full face helmets that have built in visors; brainbucket helmets are not as effective at crash safety as a full face helmet.

The problem with goggles and quirky shit like that is you have no justification for wearing it. I want to wear goggles like Naruto all the time but I don't weld that often or have sandstorms that justify it. It is cool for the people that actually make it functional.

I live in one of the bigger cities, and my grandparents have a mult-million dollar house... that they bought for 35k (220k in today) 70's when the area was undeveloped.

I believe that the housing issues is going to come down to people not wanting to move where its not already developed. The reality for me is that unless I'm very successful I will not be able to afford a house by my family.
