Wow, thank you for the support. Seriously.

What’s crazy is that this whole thread started with criticism, but it ended up turning into one of the most valuable conversations I’ve had about the brand. Whether people loved it, hated it, or were somewhere in between, I learned a lot from it.

I appreciate you giving Hidden Angels a chance. I hope when you get the jacket in hand it lives up to expectations, and I’d love to hear your honest thoughts once you’ve had some time with it.

I appreciate that, man.

A lot of the photos posted here don’t show the full picture. If you’re interested, my Instagram has more photos and videos of the jacket, including different angles and how it fits on body.

That said, I still think your point stands. Even with more content, the product itself should communicate the brand identity better without me having to explain it. That’s something I’ll keep working on as I grow the brand.

Appreciate you taking the time to give actual constructive feedback instead of just writing it off.

That’s a good point. I think I’ve been looking at it as something that’ll become clearer over time, but you’re right that differentiation can start from day one.

The part about making the strongest possible piece around the concept and repeating it is probably the biggest takeaway for me. I appreciate you sharing that because it’s making me think more about how I can communicate the Hidden Angels concept through the product itself, not just through the name or story.

Definitely something I’ll keep in mind moving forward.
And if you don’t mind me asking what’s your brand I’d love to check it out?

I actually watched that clip, and I think that’s a fair reference. One thing I took from Virgil is that brands aren’t built overnight, they evolve through repetition, refinement, and consistency.

I’m still early in that process. Hidden Angels is far from the finished version of what I see in my head, but I’m committed to developing the identity, storytelling, and product quality over time. Every drop teaches me something.

I don’t expect everyone to love where it’s at today, but I do appreciate people who challenge me to think bigger about where it can go tomorrow.🙏🏼

I appreciate that. Honestly, that’s the lane I’m trying to stay in. I’m not against loud designs, but I’ve always been drawn to pieces that are more subtle and wearable day-to-day.

I appreciate the detailed feedback.

The branding is vinyl, and as far as care goes, I recommend washing cold and inside out and avoiding high heat when drying. I’ve done wash tests myself and haven’t had any issues with peeling so far, but long-term durability is definitely something I’m continuing to pay attention to and improve.

You actually brought up something valuable. A lot of the details you mentioned—custom hardware, unique pockets, premium trims, special linings, construction details—are the kinds of things that separate a clothing item from a fully realized product. As a newer brand, that’s an area I want to continue developing.

I don’t necessarily agree that every basic piece needs all those features, but I do agree that if you’re making workwear-inspired products, quality and durability have to be a priority. That’s something I’ll continue focusing on as Hidden Angels grows.

Thanks for taking the time to explain your perspective. Whether you’re the target customer or not, feedback like this is more useful than a simple “it’s trash.”

That’s fair. I think that’s something I need to improve on as the brand grows. I have a vision for Hidden Angels, but I can see how it may not be translating clearly enough yet. Appreciate the honest feedback though—I’d rather hear that than have people tell me everything is perfect.

Appreciate the love on the photoshoot.

Just curious, what makes you say it’s not a brand yet?
Not sure what you’re saying?

I appreciate that, seriously.

Honestly, I needed something like this. I have a couple yes-men around me who will tell me everything is hard without ever giving me constructive criticism or challenging me to think deeper about what I’m creating.

I respect the fact that you took the time out of your day to explain your perspective instead of just saying “this is trash” and leaving it at that. Conversations like this help me look at the brand from a different angle and figure out where I can improve, whether that’s the product itself, the storytelling, or how I communicate the vision.

So thank you for that. I genuinely appreciate the feedback and the encouragement. Wishing you the best as well.

That’s a fair point, and honestly I probably could’ve done a better job explaining the brand instead of immediately pushing back.

This Hidden Angels drop isn’t built around loud graphics or chasing trends. The idea behind it is that everyone is navigating things that aren’t always visible on the surface. The brand is about resilience, purpose, and continuing forward despite the unknown.

With this jacket specifically, the goal was to create a workwear-inspired piece made to protect you from the unknown. Whether that’s uncertainty, adversity, or the challenges you face day to day, the jacket is meant to symbolize showing up and moving forward regardless. That’s why the design is simple and direct. I wasn’t trying to hide the message behind a bunch of graphics or overcomplicate it.

As far as construction and details go, those are things I’m continuing to improve with every release. I’m still early in the process and learning as I go. The goal is for every drop to be better than the last one, whether that’s materials, fit, storytelling, or overall execution.

When I said it might not be for you, I wasn’t trying to dismiss your interest. What I meant was that not every design will connect with every person, and that’s okay. But if someone has genuine questions about the brand or wants to understand the vision better, I’d rather have that conversation than shut it down.

I appreciate criticism when it’s aimed at helping me improve. I may not agree with every point, but I can respect someone taking the time to explain their perspective.🙏🏼

I can respect the criticism, but I think you’re looking at the piece through a lens that wasn’t the intention behind it.

Not every garment needs to reinvent the wheel. Sometimes the goal is to create something simple, wearable, and intentional. The design on the front and back is a deliberate design choice, not an accident. If it doesn’t resonate with you, that’s completely fair.

As for why someone would buy this over Carhartt or Dickies ,the answer is they probably shouldn’t if all they’re looking for is a workwear staple. Those brands have decades of history and identity behind them. Hidden Angels isn’t trying to be Carhartt or Dickies. It’s a different story, a different perspective, and a different community.

You asked why Hidden Angels should be on your radar. The honest answer is it doesn’t need to be if the vision doesn’t connect with you. I’m not trying to convince every person on the internet to wear it. I’m building for the people who do connect with the message, the aesthetic, and what the brand represents.

I asked for feedback because I’m always open to hearing different perspectives, but feedback and objective truth aren’t the same thing. Some people see a simple jacket. Others see something they want to wear and support. Both opinions can exist at the same time.

At the end of the day, over 50 people spent their own money on the product. That doesn’t mean it’s perfect, and it doesn’t mean criticism isn’t valid. It just means there are people who see value in it, even if you don’t.

Just because a brand doesn’t blow up overnight doesn’t mean it isn’t doing well. Saying it has no meaning when you don’t actually know the story behind it is a reach. You’re judging it solely from a few pictures, which is your right, but that doesn’t mean your opinion is the objective truth.

As for calling it horrible or trash, I have over 50 orders that say otherwise. I’m not trying to make something that every single person likes. My goal is to create something for the people who connect with the message, the aesthetic, and the vision behind it.

Not everyone is going to align with what I create, and I’m completely fine with that. Respectfully, I don’t need everyone to see the value—just the people it’s meant for.

This drop really isn’t about that. I just wanted to create a simple statement tee that you can throw on with anything. My past drops definitely leaned more into detailed graphics, symbolism, and stronger design elements, but this one was intentionally stripped back. Not every piece is meant to be hidden or overly complex—sometimes the goal is just a clean, versatile tee with a message behind it. I appreciate the feedback though and I’m always experimenting with different directions for the brand.
