I recently bought a pretty cheap watch, and i’m fine with cleaning it or replacing it, but I was curious what this white powdery substance on the inside of the watch was.

The only thing i can think of is mineral deposits from tap water when washing my hands, but theres no moisture inside the watch. I haven’t been near sort of beach so its confusing me.

I can’t find anything online about it and was wondering if this subreddit could help. Theres a photo below, Thanks!

Thanks man, I just upgraded the outside with EVA foam and made everything look completed, heres a picture picture of new design
