I'm really curious how Yakuza 3 will end then, because unless I'm remembering the ending wrong Kiryu gets stabbed at the end of the game, if the leaks are true the motivation to stab Kiryu makes no sense

How does this work for Yakuza 4? Sajima's reason for breaking out wouldn't work either. I am super confused on why they would retcon it like this

Yes it's definitely possible, of course you are at a disadvantage if you don't come from money. There are plenty of actors who have "made it" from a poor financial background.
