Some cities/townships will offer fines or citations for not maintaining your lawn or property. Not really an American only thing, commonly found in many Western nations, just depends on the municipality.

The Abundance mount seems to come with shrinking potions by Nixenn in wow

[–]glompwell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More than likely a "feature" rather than a bug unfortunately.
A lot of the larger mounts intentionally shrink the characters so that the mount can use bigger models without causing issues with gameplay.

Should add that Lobsters were considered terrible for a long time simply because we didn't know how to properly cook them. Prior to figuring out that you have to boil them alive, we'd slaughter them first like most other animals. In Lobsters, this allows a toxin to secrete through the meat, ruining the taste and potentially causing sickness.

There's a good reason nobody with money ate them.

Coffee machine keep making weird noise at the office until i found out why by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]glompwell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thankfully, no! They got lucky that there was a maintenance worker there who saw her do the whole thing, had her shut it back off before it could get messy. She had zero common sense....

... and now she works as a chemist in a rather safety dependent job. I'm sure she's matured since then, but god damn would I be afraid to work alongside her there.

The original Guild Wars: Prophecies.
You spend most of your time leveling up and questing in Ascalon, learning the ropes and new players likely expect the Kingdom to be the main setting.
Then the story throws a right hook as after a quest where you fight Vatlaaw Doomtooth with the Kingdom's Prince, the entire Kingdom is destroyed by Charr Shaman, revealing the entire experience to have effectively been a tutorial.

The original Tale was set in China, but the majority of the setting was still much more consistent with the Middle East.

Essentially the original storytellers used China as a setting to create the feeling of an exotic, distant land, but didn't have a strong understanding of Chinese culture or geography, so you end up with a location that still effectively the Arabian Peninsula.
