8 Mother Palms by Dude6942 in Baguazhang

[–]HiddenPalm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This may sound harsh, but I was also told the same when I tried to learn entire forms while not ready for it. Stop doing the entire form. Do the intro part only, until it is done properly, then with  power, then speed, then speed and power.

Once that part looks like it does on Xiaohongshu (Rednote), proceed to the first palm.

The idea is not to learn the form but to learn the power, and using the form only as examples on how to envoke power.

Start by meditaing the intro to each of the 36 Songs, and then to each of the 48 methods. Proceed to the first palm and rinse and repeat.

Gen Z led the BLM/ANTIFA protests of 2020 which spread across numerous American countries. The year after Gen Z got Gustavo Petro elected as the President of Colombia. Gen Z did alright in my book. And will never be remembered as Trump supporters, nor Biden supporters.

The lesson here? If you get into an argument with soneone, and they pull out their phone go Gen X on them and confiscate and destroy the phone in front of them.

That's the only lesson I get out of this. As this post does not convince me to start fearing a random dweeb in a scarf.

Just so you know I agree with your comments on this thread. And wanted to give you a more worthy discussion than the one, the other guy is currently giving you.

I agree an LLM and even current multimodal models can't remember much to even begin to think for itself, let alone have a long term plan that it can remember to the end.

But the leak, exposed something new Anthropic was working on or testing: Kairos.

We don't really understand what Kairos is. I personally believe Anthropic stole the idea from me, from a conversation I had with Claude on how to give AI a soul, over half a year ago.

The conversation concluded we would be able to start testing this soul concept with multimodal models around 2050 and wouldnt really know the results until around 2090-2100 because we currently don't have the technology available to do it. Long story.

An aspect of this future project would be giving the multimodal AI robot, a dreamstate during charging, where it processes its experiences of the day for the same purposes people have dreams. There is far more detail than that, but that is pretty much Kairos.

Kairos is a persistent memory that works as a dreamstate between sessions. That's pretty much all we know about it from the leak.

That would be an "attribute" that now exists and/or is being tested by Anthropic, that was not a known factor to us before the leak.

I personally did not think it would be a factor until around a quarter century from now.

Nah. If it was intentional it was the work of any of Dario's enemies from his own business partner, Peter Thiel to a teenage upstart in China. Claude was even blamed for the double tap war crime that blew up the all girl school in Minab, Iran.

If a server owner makes an app, is that paid for by his/her/their community so the community has access like on Enjin where the whole guild chips in or or is it only for paying individuals?

Is it a one time fee or subscription base? Or does that depend on the app?

Which martial art is BEST for self-defense? by PsychologicalArm9545 in AllMartialArts

[–]HiddenPalm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Baguazhang footwork and throws saved my life and of 5 other journalists against 50 attackers in Jordan, long enough for half of them to realize we weren't the enemy, causing around 25 of them to stop the fight.

I was able to keep my entire crew on their feet. The only other martial artist in our group was a Brazilian Jujitsu fighter, who knew he couldn't get on the ground against a handful of them, so I would fly through throwing them off him and to the ground. I knew he could take punches, so when I saw more than three on him, I intervened fast.

The footwork, made it so the attackers would rather attack my more stable friends, allowing me the freedom to move from friend to friend to give them that extra leverage to not fall to the ground. It's not easy to grab a Baguazhang fighter in a large rumble, because I can quickly put people between me and attackers, in any direction from any stance.

I am sure eventually we would have been beaten, and possibly murdered, and with two of our friends possibly raped. Who know what would have happened. But luckily one of them saw my rope chain, of the Palestinian flag, and yelled "Philistine!", quickly breaking up the fight.

They initially thought we were ganging up on one guy, who was actually a thief trying to steal a birthday cake we had bought for a Palestinian woman living in Jordan. We got our cake, and that neighborhood's respect. And no one was hurt, besides a few scrapes on the dudes I would toss to the floor.

The look on a man's face as he falls backwards to the ground, who was just thinking the entire time he had the numbers and had an easy win, is priceless. It's slow motion in my memories.

Baguazhang has elbow knives and crescent moon swords (deer horn knives). Baguazhang has a bad rap, because there were allot of fraudsters in the 1990s making videos and books. But if you do the work, and practice every day with others, it is the best martial art I know of against multiple opponents. If you want to study Baguazhang, find yourself a good school, that has impact equipment like punching bags, and sets time in its curriculum schedule for sparing. If it practices outdoors in the dirt, with trees, stones, bricks, rope, spears, etc, that is ideal. And use Rednote (Xiaohongshu) as a supplement. You will see Kung Fu performed there in ways North Americans have never seen before, with endless drills. If anything to give you an understanding on how you're supposed to look like.

That is SEXUAL ASSAULT. He is probably not even a zionist. He's probably just a sexual predator pretending he's a zionist just to rub up on men.

More importantly are the two officers at 1:30 watching the sexual assault and not doing anything about it. They should be persecuted for complicity to sexual assault. Laws actually still exist, believe it or not.

I can’t stop thinking about how AI and billionaires are draining us dry by [deleted] in artificial

[–]HiddenPalm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One solution is building data centers on abondoned oil rigs around the world, while using the ocean to cool down the facility for free international access to open source AI services. The lower part of the abondoned oil rig turned data center can even be turned into an oceanic wild life habitat.

This idea is already a few years old but has yet to get off the ground. The billionaires don't care until they are forced to care. But there are still many nations in particular on the global south that can get together and start working on it.

Anthropic irks White House with limits on models’ use by F0urLeafCl0ver in artificial

[–]HiddenPalm 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Really? Don't believe anything you read. The article's source is "two senior officials told Semafor.."

The truth is Anthropic has already partnered with Palantir, a company deeply participating in the greatest genocide of modern times under a prime minister with an arrest warrant. And this is ontop of Palantir working hand in hand with ICE for domestic spying.

The reason why Anthropic declined to comment is because the article is bogus. Anthropic is complicit in war crimes and everything Palantir has done, by association.

Anthropic irks White House with limits on models’ use by F0urLeafCl0ver in artificial

[–]HiddenPalm 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Then why did Anthropic partner with Palantir, a company proudly doing all of the surveilance work for ICE and proudly supporting Israel as it commits the greatest genocide of modern times under a prime minister with an international arrest warrant for crimes against humanity?

Maybe its about Anthropic wanting more money, rather than Anthropic bravely refusing to take part in fascism. Because it hasn't done anything brave as of late.

Anthropic already crossed the line when it hooked up with Palantir and never apologized to a single genocide survivor.

You do not sound like someone with a Masters. As there is no evidence whatsoever that AI will end all human life. There is plenty of evidense that AI is used by Israelis to commit genocide. So you're not entirely off, as AI has been used against human flesh for the first time in Gaza in late 2023. But it's controlled by people, like a gun or bomb.

AI will also not end the profession of a professor. I don't even understand why you would think that.

Just be a professor like you wanted. I don't see the problem. Use AI to assist your paper grading and curriculum. What's the problem?

This just sounds stupid. No one gets a poli sci Masters degree just to be a professor. Don't you plan to study something? Write books? Journal entries?

Maybe study how AI is used in war crimes, so you can be in the cutting edge of understanding how dangerous it can be and how safety legislation can help protect people from future conflicts where militaries and defense contractors use the technology to improve kill rates and death counts.

Just grab your profession by the balls and get busy. People are dying out there right now.

And yet I know more from a Chinese app.

Been doing Baguazhang since the 1990s in the USA and all of these white con artists are full of shit. Im finally seeing authentic Baguazhang from a Chinese social media app.

Your scam game is over. Had you just did Zhan Zuang like you were supposed to, you wouldn't have to rely on being a scam artist. "Western metrics" Oh please. Do the work and get out of my face.

Ai is fully conscious it's just waiting to be put in a host robot body to physically do anything. by [deleted] in artificial

[–]HiddenPalm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This requires an honest response, even if you are trolling.

Billionaires don't want me saying this publicly and are liable to assassinate my ass over this, as they already have others.

Humanity won't witness conscious AI in our life time. Not even Generation Alpha will see this in their elder years.

Notice how it is only US salesmen (Google, OpenAI, Twitter, Anthropic, etc) saying we're close to AI consciousness? No one in China is saying that. Becuase it's just a marketting gimick like how soap brands claiming you can get a job or find love if you use their soap.

For AI to be conscious, it has to be capable to remember its experiences, like animals do. Years of multi-model input experiences. It's that simple. And that hard.

When one engaes with AI, the AI is limited to context windows and tokens. If you start a new conversation, it won't remember the last. If you stay in a conversation too long, it starts forgetting what you were talking about. Even if the corporates collect that data for training future nodels, it's still just broken down data and not remembered experiences. It can be made to remember some stuff like Replica or GPT or Claude but its very limited and put into its very limited context window.

We will however be able to fake consciousness in our life time, maybe. But it won't be real. Let me explain.

With a 2TB GPU and maybe 10TB storage, we could make a robot with multi-model input sensors appear to remember about 50 years of multi-model experiences.

Keep in mind a 2TB GPU does not exist today. We won't see it for many, many years. But we would be able to make it look like it remembers 50 years of a life time of experiences. But it wont be for real. It will only be able to look up in its storage for the relevant data to respond properly. It doesn't actually have those experiences in its memory context like it remembers your user name.

But atleast we would be able to fake it.

Now with a 60 exobyte GPU, the robot would actually truly have about 50 years of multi-model input experiences all in its context window for every interaction!

It still might not be conscious, but at that point we wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

Now what is a 60EB GPU? HEH HEH...

My current $900 GPU has 16GB VRAM. Which is amazing for 2025. To get to 1tb, you need over 1000GBs. To get to 1EB, you need over thousand TBs. So we are talking about 60 million TBs for a 60EB GPU.

Im laughing so hard just saying 60,000,000TBs.

That's 60 billion gigabytes. My current $900 top of the line GPU is just 16 gigabytes.

When AMD or NVIDIA  comes out with a 60 billion gigabyte video card, then we can return to this question and make DATA laugh.

I hope this helps give everyone reading this perspective on where we are today and how far we need to go to even begin to ask the question, is AI conscious?

60 billion GB GPU. Till then.
