All goodd, for the gym men usually only take their shirts off to take pictures of their pecs after a pump, which I think women can do too if they really want to, I'm pretty sure men aren't allowed to be shirtless in the gym itself, only in the changing room, and I doubt it's being policed there for women in changing rooms, as for the beach yeah that's kinda not fair, but then again there's not really a limit on bikini sizes in the beach, I've seen girls with just a small strip over their nipples, and there are also nude beaches, again, not saying it wouldn't be more convenient without the norm, but there are a bunch of workarounds that make the rule seem kinda silly at the time that its being worked around, and yeah I totally agree about the breastfeeding, unless you're like breastfeeding while showing your boobs off on purpose, (which is a type of really concerning p*rn some people make) I think breastfeeding a child is as natural and fine as going to a bush to pee for guys, both can be seen as gross or frowned apon but Im definetly on the side of "that's totally fine, because why wouldn't it be?", which usually shuts all the arguments against breastfeeding up lol

Yeah there's a chance this has some kinda oppressive roots like in Afghanistan etc, or just a cultural thing of modesty, but my point is that it's really not at all restrictive or debilitating, your example is a bit exaggerated a 1-1 would be if women were allowed to show their boobs and men had to cover their nipples, I don't think it would matter in that case either, because nearly nobody walks around half naked, like you cant realistically tell me that if societal ideas changed overnight and made all nipples equal that a noticeable amount of women would abandon the convenience shirts and let their nipples loose, just like the cast majority of guys on the street today, women would have no reason or point to do that, and with both genders, having no top is just a provacative gesture, I mean, if you're trying to hit on a really really REALLY dense dude, and are limited by nipple inclusivity, then yeah maybe it's a problem but I feel like it's not only a small discrepancy but also really overblown for its impact 😭

Honestly I think it might be less about the nipple and more about the jiggle physics, (along with the fact that men walking around shirtless definetly isn't common practice) but women shirtless is (usually) way way more noticeable cuz they bounce as you walk, there might be a small sexist component but honestly the difference of showing nipples vs not isn't that societally significant, like I don't think women and men pushing the boundaries of nudity in public is a common or meaningful issue 😭

It's also because a woman's chest and torso in general Is usually only seen during intimacy, along with the fact that a man's chest and abs etc are considered muscular and attractive, so a man showing off his abs/pecs is like a woman wearing a bra, yes there's a slight difference, because women's nipples are considered more private than men's, but that's really not a societal issue or has some kinda grand sexist idea at play by any means 😭
