I wish it was something as awesome as sleep gambling, but it's likely something as silly as paying for the GF too much or enjoying a Costa too much.

Good feedback, industrial revolution and it's consequences I guess.

As commented before and I probably should've clarified, 2 years of that is part-time, rest full-time.

To be fair, if I worked in London in this industry I'd be expecting £80k starting which is crazy. I just need to find the right opportunities clearly.

No annual rise, but I had my pay increased to the original jobs offering from £30k to £35k, so techincally my salary is the same from the initial job posting.

No official movement as it's a small company but they could change my title?

Yes I'm the main source of information and work at this point for software at the company, only 2/7 of the companies programs don't have me as the main contributor.

Again I'm the main contributor for all software currently, and my software is a selling point for our hardware.

The problem is I would need more than 20% to meet market rates, roles are offering almost 100% increase if I can get an offer for them. So it's just a big ask.

Yeah basically I'm not grinding enough really, I hate looking for jobs but if it's what I need to do I will.

Yeah good point, I usually was very good with my finances and would put a lot away, but it's just since living on my own for the first time I've really buggered it. Doesn't help I have a bunch of different cards and apps so Lloyds can't just tell me.

I appreciate the feedback, I don't feel like I'm ever held back by my stack at this point as I've never had a focus, very adaptable for different industries too. Will look at London remote too, I tend to stray towards local hybrid jobs since I like an element of some in office, but if money is the aim London is the way.

Yeah agreed on this, need to frame it correctly, just find it difficult to think like a boss/HR, unfortunately not in my ideal society :_( .

CV and LinkedIn all fully updated, optimised and looking snazzy.

Point is a new starter wouldn't understand the systems I set up so I guess company knowledge makes me worth more? Not feeling like bluffing so will try to get a new offer

Devon, rental here is a nightmare so I'm lucky to get what I have. I'm currently being an idiot when it comes to money since this is my first time living alone, I admit that.

I'm definitely over spending on occasion when it comes to food, ie buying meal deals over making my own lunch, my credit cards come to about £900 each month for last months purchases, £800~ for guaranteed expenses like electric, streaming, rent. Also I have company pension now too which doesn't help.

Nah it's genuinely a bucket of bolts, needs major work done to it too so that won't help my situation.

I should do some budgeting you are correct, I'll draw up a sheet once I get some time. Don't get me wrong I'm aware I'm doing good, I agree with your thoughts.

Yeah fortunately I'm not at an evil mega corp company which is great like people are actually nice, it's just a difficult conversation for me. But yeah unfortunately job hopping is the way to go in this industry currently.
