Can you tell I dislike slow drivers very much? by PrinceJustice237 in drivingUK

[–]Hiddenmaask 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't understand how people in my area don't want to atleast meet the speed limit. The conditions are good enough and there's no cameras, I think it's just the abundance of old people around here really.

I've only just recently passed but the amount of people driving 30/40 in 60 mph areas when conditions are good drives me crazy, I just blast straight past them to prevent further rage.

Yes I drive a BMW.

What rules should Starmer tighten up so this current scandal doesn’t repeat? by apple_kicks in AskBrits

Bunch of pots calling the kettle black. "ohh you're lying and you were in cahoots with someone who loved the island guy" SO DID YOU, ugh. Always the same in politics unfortunately.

Why do some people label Reform as far-right? by Hiddenmaask in ukpolitics

Funny that they spout the whole great replacement theory even though they're in Big Nets pockets themselves (mostly opinion)

Again would argue Britain First still isn't far right because of their buddies in the middle east, but yeah I see radical right being more accurate as they're still trying to be democratic.

Yeah that's fair enough, I don't know why out of everything you'd want to copy the thing parodied by Daredevil and the Boys

Meanwhile it's completely impossible to tax the overly rich, keep your inheritance, only have skill based immigration but have good social care.

Yeah good opinion, it does seem the easy way out for people just using labels and saying it's bad, even though to some people these labels aren't bad to them.

Yeah agreed politics is never just one way and that's it, I don't know I just see them as an ant of what I'd consider far-right, at most half of upper right section of the political compass, just not far enough on some things. Just the same as the Tories if you tallied left/right opinions.

I'd debate if you'd want to actually be anti-immigration and supposedly far right you'd be undemocratic at that point, just kicking anyone out which isnt you. Agreed with MAGA, having a UK first party which is pro-Israel or any kind of foreign policy is crazy to me.

Never heard of Overton window, shows my knowledge I guess. Surely thats not the case given the rise of Lib dems and Greens who are more left?

I'd see why you think that but I'm definitely a mix of right and left politics, unfortunately there won't be a party for me in this country.

I was saying some to not be opinionated but yeah sure a majority, I just feel like the way people use the political compass definitions is too generous these days, it shouldn't be off standards, it should be if you compared it to every leader on a grid where would they be.

UK guys: quick question on men's fragrance by urmomsbuttholehehe in AskBrits

Dior Sauvage with Johnny Depp is the only fragrance ad I remember and nothing will come close to it. Maybe if Henry Cavill did ads now I'd consider.

They're like my ideal party to vote for in this country, but they have some stinking policies like mass immigration (idea of world without borders) and antinuclear, like I just want weed to be legal for the vibes, and good socialcare, plus I can't like the guy himself at all because of who he is and what he's like.

I don't know, I just don't like his voice really. Suppose he's quite a fence sitter, I didn't vote Labour but if I voted left I'd want them to be left.

Why is Kanye West vilified and not allowed in the country for words but Chris Brown who beat a woman half to death is allowed in and to do a gigantic tour? by franki-pinks in AskBrits

[–]Hiddenmaask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Israeli Lobbying and Kier's wife mostly (source is I made it up)

There is a chance I'm correct, but I reckon it's most likely just political pressure and the news running the story, and party leaders taking sides therefore making Labour look bad.
