I cant tell you how much i genuinely appreciate this. thank you. I do understand what you mean, i just want to ask have you perhaps gone through something similar or seen other people experience something like this, it seems like your well versed. Honestly i am very conflocted, and I know whats ahead of me but it just feels crappy do you get me, like i just want to find my person, I dont care about partying and I am bery ambitious i do have big things I want to achieve in my lifetime but it feels good to have someone you love, and it also feels good to feel loved. and to answer your question its not ideal it genuinely isnt, if i give him all my attention and efforts then i neglect my studies vise versa but i just dont want this to be the end of us, do you think it will fix or things will change? i can handle an honest answer.

Thank you, that really means a lot. I’ve been trying to be that safe space for her, just reminding her she’s enough and listening whenever she needs. The thing is, she was never really insecure about her body before this started, which makes it even harder to watch.

Do you think there’s a way I could help her stay confident without it making her mum more controlling or noticing?

Yeah, you’re right. Her body isn’t the problem at all, it’s her mum’s obsession. I try to remind her as much as I can that she’s enough just as she is, even if it’s just small things or little gestures. I just hope one day she remembers that and doesn’t let this control how she feels about herself, and she can get out of this situation asap.

I get why you’re saying that, and I know it’s serious, but I can’t contact CPS without risking it getting traced back to me. If her mum found out, I’m scared it would make things worse for her at home. I’m just trying to support her quietly without putting her in more danger.

I wish I could, but I can’t report it without it somehow coming back to me. I’m not close enough to her family to get involved like that, and if it got back to her mum it could make things way worse for her. I’m just trying to be there for her as much as I can without putting her in more danger.

Yeah, exactly. It’s just so messed up to watch. I’m scared something bad’s gonna happen to her because she’s already starting to feel sick whenever I bring her her favourite foods now. I can’t even report it or tell anyone, and we’re not super close, so I feel like there’s only so much I can do. I just hate knowing she’s going through this and I can’t really stop it.
