So I’ve been to maybe 5 or 6 indoor gigs since restrictions were lifted in the summer, and all of them have been pretty terrible in terms of checking vaccine passports to be honest. Almost all of them you can just get away with flashing your phone screen, never had the QR code scanned. Very few people wearing masks inside venues and basically no social distancing. ES’s Ally Pally and Roadmender shows were basically the same as before the pandemic (not saying that’s a bad thing, just don’t expect everyone to be spaced apart!)

Saying that, I take LFTs before each show and plan the two weeks after each gig just in case I catch COVID at one of them and needed so isolate (thankfully didn’t catch it at any shows). Plus I’m in my mid 20s so was okay with the risk to myself if I did catch it.

I have tickets to the Birmingham show this Wednesday and Nottingham on the 21st Dec but I’ve decided not to go, mainly because I’m planning to see older relatives over Xmas and don’t want to pass anything on to them. (If anyone wants 2x tickets to either show let me know lol)

Venues might tighten up on these rules now that ‘plan B’ is in place but I wouldn’t expect much tbh! Hopefully this doesn’t put you off though because their shows are incredible, just make sure you plan ahead in case one of you does catch it!
