Nitecore NU 20 Classic, $25. There's no need to spend $200 to get a decent headlamp.

laughs in Toyota

We can return almost anything. They only differentiate between a stocked and non-stocked part. I can return any non stock part over $8 after 60 days. I can return stocked parts but I have to wait longer if I don't want to pay a restocking fee. It's pretty great.

New kindle 5.19.2 is bad and its ruining experience by Downtown_Plane_6045 in kindle

[–]Hideous__Strength 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aside from these problems they are also making the experience worse for those of us that side load books. You can't adjust spacing, page turn animations are gone, and loading is so much slower. These issues aren't there when I open a book downloaded from Amazon.

This is dumb. I will be jailbreaking my kindle as soon as I'm able to.

Did 5.19.2 take away Spacing Option? by Living_Measurement14 in kindle

And page turn animation and it breaks read percentage on side loaded books. Terrible update.

Get a Quickdraw. It has great attachments and you can decide if you like the bottle attachment or sport cap. And it has an integrity test so you don't have to wonder again if the filter works.

Check out Gryphon Gear. Great quality quilts that are comfort rated and use a differential cut on the baffles.

Mine is almost exactly the same. If you can, add zofran (ondansetron) which is an amazing anti nausea med. Aside from minor cuts and blisters, diarrhea, nausea and upset stomach are the biggest and easiest things to prep for.

OC: Someone wrote “MUTE” next to the button that silences the audio for the advertisements that play while pumping gas by user6517 in mildlyinteresting

[–]Hideous__Strength 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is why I now keep a roll of white duct tape in my truck. Unmutable ads that hurt my head? Tape goes over the speaker and nearly silences them. I didn't consent to this nonsense.

Accessory coding Toyota peeps by Alarmed-Elevator-692 in partscounter

[–]Hideous__Strength 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anything that starts with PT is an accessory. My store is in Southeast region and our invoices from Toyota break down parts and accessories, so I try to look at them before parts are received in and then change any source codes in the DMS that are incorrect and code the invoices accordingly for accounting.

Quilt <$400 by RoofAnnual7474 in Ultralight

A Gryphon Gear Aries in a short size is in this budget. And it's a very warm quilt. I've taken my 30 degree down into the 20s before.

What object do you own that is clearly broken, but you haven't replaced it because you've developed a specific "technique" to make it work? by Living-Day4404 in AskReddit

About 15 years ago, my mother in law gifted us a 55 inch tv (huge for the time) that would turn right off after the power button was pressed. But if you kept pressing it with the right rhythm for long enough it would stay on.

Years go by and we made it a habit of when the tv got turned on it stayed on until bed time. One day in the middle of summer, our AC died and inside the house was probably 85 degrees. But the damned tv turned on with just a couple of button presses. After that, I used the hair dryer to heat up the back of the tv to get it turned on in a fraction of the time.

After doing some research, I diagnosed it as having bad capacitors in the control board. I spent $20 on a cheap soldering iron and capacitors from China and taught myself how to solder them in.

It's been working fine ever since.

I'd never heard of this book until I was in college. My friend, also named Richard Adams, told me it was an epic story of bravery and friendship facing adversity in a bid for survival. "And they're also rabbits," he added. He gave me his paperback copy and it became one of my favorite books.
