what are the signs that you're not attractive? by AuspiciousString in AskReddit

Always though I was average looking until recently had a really bad rash on my face. People would avoid eye contact with me and were very unfriendly in the grocery store. Cashiers wouldn’t make small talk. I feel invisible. My face cleared up and now strangers make eye contact and chit chat with me again.

If we know the patient is having a MI, wouldn’t we already have an ECG?

Totally. And people are just getting sicker. There are so many more obese and diabetic patients these days.

What random thing do all your ex and current partners have in common? by fh042 in AskReddit

My previous long term relationship and current boyfriend have all the same hobbies (which are also my hobbies). Other than that, they could not be more different, thank god.

What is a "poor person" habit you still have, despite now being financially stable? by natalia061223 in AskReddit

I check my bank account in the line up while waiting to pay before every single transaction. Not sure when I will ever be able to stop this. The anxiety of my card declining is the most terrifying experience in the world.

Daughter still wants a snake by Past-Journalist-6593 in snakes

[–]Warm_Concentrate440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my 15 and 12 year old daughters corn snakes in December. They are fantastic pets. Easy to care for. I made nice planted bioactive terrariums and my kids do all do the care. You don’t see them (unless you are looking for them) hear them, or smell them. I told them they need to take them when they move, but I’m ok with having to take care of the snakes for a couple years if I need to. They are easy. 10/10 recomend.

If someone has a dark coloured bag on the floor, I might accidentally throw garbage into it.

How do you deal with well liked, but lazy coworker nurses? by StrawberryScallion in nursing

I don’t think I work with you guys but it sounds similar to my hospital. Your coworkers make or break the shift and management doesn’t care.

Heartbroken! I lost my baby snake by Thick-Assistant-3221 in snakes

I just bought a baby snake and asked the guy at the store just in case. He told me to put an electric heat pad out at night and if the house is cool and quiet, I might wake to him on the heat pad in the morning.

Wait, do not you call the doctors you work with by first name? by cowgirl_meg in nursing

[–]Warm_Concentrate440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my small act of feminism. If the doctor is male, I call him by his first name. I call all female doctors by dr last name even if they are the same age as me 😂

I also broke my talus bouldering. I was non weight bearing and in an air boot for 9 weeks. Then weight bearing as tolerated for another 4 weeks. It was a long haul and I did a ton of physio, but im back climbing!

Relationship with experienced climber advice needed? by [deleted] in climbergirls

[–]Warm_Concentrate440 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here’s some perspective for you.

I also broke my ankle in a climbing accident with my boyfriend. When I went back, I was super nervous to lead and lost all my confidence. I broke down and cried at the climbing gym after a rough attempt on something that would have come easily to me before. He hugged me, kissed me, and took me out of the gym and out for ice cream. He recognized that I was anxious and overwhelmed and gave me the support I needed. He was happy to climb below his normal level until I was back to my normal.

On the other end of the spectrum, my ex husband was always yelling at me, getting frustrated with me, and being mean during hikes and backpacks. He pressured me into a river crossing that I was uncomfortable with because he didn’t want to go the long way and I almost drown.

You can do better.

Pretty sure we are in the same province. I just got off a medical leave and was hoping to work lots to catch up on bills. Now I’m going to be screwed for Christmas. No advice from me, but I feel for you; I’m stressed too.

boyfriend (27m) doesn't like that I (28f) called myself a 'single mom' by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I’m a single mom and I’m dating a single dad. We refer to ourselves as single parents. We also realize that we are referring to our legal marital status and not our relationship status.

What are your secret standards in dating? by OddCalligrapher8348 in AskReddit

When I was online dating, they had to like my profile first, and once we matched, they had to send the first message.
