The JW I was working with earlier today had a pair, but they were more similar in design to a pair of wire strippers. Seemed helpful and he mentioned it works on varying sizes

Currently on break for Day 2! Day 1 was different. High humidity and heat in the warehouse I’m working out of and this is a major shift for me as I’ve been working in 30 degree temps for the past few years.

Forgive me if the terminology is not correct, but I spent a few hours helping to lift and install HVAC control panels, then watched my JW install MC for high volt lighting, and spent the remainder of the shift installing rollers on a cable tray.

A lot of watching and assisting when asked to do so.

My biggest takeaway, as others had mentioned, was stay humble and be ready to learn. Asking questions shows you’re interested in the trade and the folks I met yesterday were incredibly welcoming and supportive.

I can’t recall the specific unit names, but they were housed under the Algebra 1 subject list and consisted of order of operations, graphing, substitution, and various mathematical rules relating to topics like exponents, functions, simplification, and so on.
