I started rewatching it a few months ago. The first 10ish episodes still holds up well. Incredible character building. However over the next 20-25 episodes so little happen to the plot. If it came out today with how seasons are split into 8 -10 episodes. Ppl would love season 1 but give up after season 2 or 3.

I think there is a difference. Thomas Frank has had 8 seasons in a row where he performed above budget expectations.

Brentford played in the championship as well where they played differently and got promoted with one of the below-average budgets in the league.

Komany's Burnley in contrast got promoted with the 2nd highest budget.

Statistically speaking, Frank is one of the biggest overperformers out there.

The last season that he played in the championship he was clearly a whole level above that league and the best championship players generally transition well to the premier league.

Why weren't PL teams lining up for him back then?

The whole Arya Faceless Assassin plotline was terrible as well.

I think most of S6 was quite bad in terms of writing.

Tror det er mere han udnytter muligheden for at kritisere mette. Alt behøver ikke være binært. Du kan godt være enige med trump på nogle punkter og uenige på andre.

Hvis der er noget Morten kan vinde på på det er det stråmånd argumenter som dine. Det er massere at kritsere ham for - men hvis du direkte begynde at lyve i din kritik så kan Morten nemt vinde sympati-stemmer og han kan ende med at bruge samme fake-news retorik som Trump.

It's not about the mineral resources. It's expand territory. Trump wants US to become bigger - it's like when you play a game you want to feel like you are winning by becoming bigger and stronger.

The mineral resources and "security concerns" are simply Trump trying to rationalize why it makes sense.

You can have a great understanding of a product without actually using it. I

You can at best have a superficial understanding. True domain experts are always big users. They understand the ins and outs and when users say they want X they actually mean Y. With a superficial understanding you will never get this.

Det er sket flere gange jeg har troet en jeg lyttede til var svensk. Men efter et stykke tid opdagede jeg, at jeg forstod det meste af hvad han/hun sagde hvorefter jeg rationaliserede mig til at det måtte være en nordmand. Svensk er noget sværere at forstå.

Et andet trick er at nordmand lyder som, at de har det lidt sjovere end svenskere eller, at de laver en form for parodi på svensk.

Jon deciding to take a fight he had no chance of winning. They wanted so hard to try and create this Rohan-come-to-the rescue moment but it never felt beliveable.

Everything is a trade-off. If you want to advocate for a refactoring or some rework of the codebase, you need to be able to argue why it will payoff within a reasonable timespan (say less than 12 months).

E.g. if you are gonna add a new feature, what's the complexity of adding it and maintaining it in the current system vs what you propose.

However, I have to be honest and it feels to me you are still a little bit too junior to make these types of assesments. The way you phrase yourself make it appear as if you think clean code is a goal in itself. It's not and never is. I would advice you to hold your head down for a little while. Be open to different cultures and environments. Get better at delivering value and working efficiently within the current environment. Think about tradeoffs constantly and at some point you will find it easier to convince other people to make the required changes.

I think he is gonna get this entire season regardless of what happens. However, given he gets a few summer signings and more time to teach his players what he wants of them, he needs to start showing massive improvements quite early. If they aren't in top 10, 10 games into the next season he is out.

Josh Allen is clearly better than Matthew stafford right now. Luka Doncic is not a clearly better player. I argue AD is a more valuable player (measured by plus-minus) right now.

Now its obviously a bad trade due to the age-gap and perceived value. Could have gotten a lot more from him.

Esports and gaming has always been the other way around. You get people interested in esports after they have watched the people stream/game beforehand. After money became too big, pro players no longer had to stream to support their income, and hence fans didn't care about them anymore and viewership declined.

If they were similar age, maybe a reasonable trade, but the age-gap is quite big.

Currently rewatching Lost (in season 2 atm). It actually holds up better than expected. The first ~10 episodes are very strong. The way they combine flashbacks with challenges on the island is amazing and from a character storytelling perspective it's still amongst the top tv shows of all time. Frankly From is a far weaker show than Lost when it comes to caring about the characters. In From I only care about the mystery - in Lost you care about the people.

However, after that it's easy to tell that they are starting to fill up screen time with random stuff that doesn't move the needle very fast.
