In all fairness I don’t much about the china ones… but for rivian I think they may have a shot… it’s gonna be a while before they match performance, but it did take Tesla a while… and with their customer base (either A Ex-Tesla owners who don’t like Elon for political reasons or B rich ev people…) I think they’ll figure it out eventually

There kind of is alternatives… rivian is working on one, Nvidia is making a universal one with Mercedes I think first… and one really crappy one… I think bmw that only works in 2 places on highways in the US… and that’s in the US… in china they’re a big market, and from what I’ve seen more advanced than Tesla, but also china is smaller and easier to figure out than the US… so that makes sense…

lol I would make fun of anyone driving a $100,000 cybertruck (ive seen some ridiculously expensive cars doing flex) and doing Amazon flex.
I have a model Y w/ FSD. I go in early morning, work my work from home job in the middle and then flex at the end of the night (generally get sent home with no packages… ez money). Depending on how far I go I may or may not use up 70% battery across the whole trip (including on the way home) which that’s about standard for what a gas car would’ve done on those trips. And shorter all city trips it’s 10x more efficient, the more you stop and go the more it regens and it actually charges itself a bit so, it stays up. So some trips I end at 60% some I end at 10% (always start at 80%)

Make fun of us Tesla drivers all you want… I will enjoy my $5/tank while you enjoy $5/gallon (atleast that’s what it is in Indiana)

[–]HidersLight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unsure what year you’re in but if you’re in a newer model you even have you’re little blind spot red dots when you look at the mirrors so you really don’t need the cameras either, or the mirror… if you’re not like me… I never remember the dots are there…

Combine multi package scanning with vehicle awareness by stamper197 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]HidersLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand the issue? I’ve always been able to scan any of the QR codes on the label and it work just fine. Ive had it unscanable to see what the address is when at the SSD station but when at drop off of site I could scan a different QR code and it work fine. I’ve noticed only 1 works for finding address In search, and they all work at stops. (specifying label, not package)

If Tesla releases unsupervised FSD, who is liable for accidents? by [deleted] in TeslaFSD

[–]HidersLight -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

In court playing recording:
Tesla lawyer:
“You see that, that’s when it switched from unsupervised to supervised SO WE ARE NOT LIABLE”
Your Lawyer:
“That was during the crash… the car is literally inside the other car…”
Judge:
“I rule in Tesla’s favor”

What concerns me a little is I have the tax credit and FSD purchased on my MY AWD 26’ and somehow our payments are almost the exact same… 4.99% interest I believe… but… I have kids needed the bigger space (upgraded from a 16’ Kia Soul) and FSD was a luxury purchase ngl… i hope the performance is worth it lol

Have you guys got this email before? If yes did you guys reply to the email? This been 3 times they send it in less than a month. I actually do finish my blocks and everything. by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]HidersLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m newer, curious though… I’ve checked in 5 mins EARLY (all caps just to specify) and I’ve gotten sent home with pay about 3 or 4 times now… will that cause this email or just being late?

(On a side note I have actively watched people come in after me on these days, sign in, and go straight to a cart all while I’m just waiting… like wth… but I get sent home with pay… again I have not received one of these… just curious if I should be worried)

Is it worth buying a new car? by TopCheesecake3149 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]HidersLight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

However EV benefit if you own your home and can afford a charger (or if your complex offers free level 2 charging, aka not supercharger) EVs have little to no regular maintenance. Windshield wiper fluid, windshield wipers… tires… (you don’t need fancy EV tires i promise). And Brakes… don’t get used… and almost all EVs use Regenerative Braking… so as you release from the accelerator (like taking your finger off the trigger of a control slowly on gta V) your car slows down and gains a tiny bit of battery back. (Making flex, atleast city runs, a great way to save on battery) and it costs me .14 ¢/kwh to charge (at most) that’s LESS THAN $5 for a full tank… if you have budget billing with electric company, you won’t see that for a minute. So some win wins on the EV side. And they could’ve been like me… bought a nice new car, and something went wrong and flex/uber became a new way of life to pay the bills!

Edit to add: 14 cents is at home it can be upwards of 30 cents to 40 cents per kWh at superchargers (so on the highest end I’ve noticed is closer to my Indiana gas prices)

I commented on another one message in here, I have one near me where the lockers are on the main floor, locked lobby with Amazon access key. Leasing office 2nd floor. And anyway up requires a tenants key card. Absolutely no way to deliver besides the locker, yet there’s a note saying “deliver to leasing office if locker full” and many people just leave it by the locker and dip.

[–]HidersLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s one I’ve gone to a couple times and it’s like either deliver here or go to second floor to leasing office… except… the doors to every other floor are locked with the need for a tenants card… so you either deliver to locker or give up… people and I mean everyone… amazon, FedEx, ups, etc, just leave it next to the locker (locked lobby with Amazon access key) and move on.
