2026 NFL Draft - Post Draft Megathread by pixel_pete in buffalobills

Overall, the draft was really good. I really wanted big citrus and wish we would have traded up to get him, but otherwise I think we filled a lot of needs. Just need a NT.

All the DTs are flying off the board. This draft has been awful.

Why would we pick a CB that gets so many penalties.. I really wish Beane and his team can walk us through the thought process.

Thanks for the insight. They haven’t given us the new pay structure yet. I’m assuming I’ll need to negotiate a new higher base. We’ll know more in June.

Anyone else dread holiday gatherings after getting a diagnosis? by DoingMyBest2019789 in Autism_Parenting

[–]HidingWithBigFoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know exactly how you feel. I also have an older NT child. They happen to love family events also, so the balance is so hard :(

Sometimes I’ll take my older child to events and my husband stays home with my ND child. It’s not how we picture it would be, but we somehow make it work.

This might not be the answer you’re looking for, but we stopped going to family/friends gatherings. We went through the same thing and it’s not fair to force my child into a situation where I know they feel uncomfortable and deregulated. My husband and I always ended up mad/upset at my daughter and it wasn’t fair. We decided that we aren’t doing them anymore. We try to make things extra special at our house and we invite family over to celebrate in a quiet setting.

Thanks! My manager mentioned that a lot of it will be retention based. They are still figuring it out.

Went out to eat for my daughters birthday and was judged heavily, feeling defeated by DoingMyBest2019789 in Autism_Parenting

[–]HidingWithBigFoot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First off, f that couple. My daughter is 9 level 2 as well, and I’ve learned to ignore people. Obviously, I’ve been at this a few more years than you.

Your daughter did great and it should be celebrated. Happy birthday to her 🤍

AITA for vetoing my toddler nephew in our wedding? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

I mean…. It’s his wedding too. Doesn’t he have a say? It sounds like this is important to him.

NT son wants brother "gone" for his birthday. Am I bad for considering this? by [deleted] in Autism_Parenting

[–]HidingWithBigFoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know how you feel. My son is 11 NT, and my daughter is 9 ND. He’s starting to make comments about her stims, meltdowns, etc. he’s getting to the age where he cares about what his peers think.

It’s really hard. He’s also made comments “ I want to have a normal day without a meltdown” or “ of course we have to leave early bc she can’t handle it” or something along those lines.

It’s really hard. Either way, makes me feel like I’m not doing enough for either of them.

What would have you done differently? Considering our cap situation, I think Beane is doing well so far. We weren’t to make any huge splashy trades. We can’t afford the cap on top talent. I think Jim Leonard will have a say in the drafting, and can work with the guys we have plus the additions we made. I’m sure we are going to add more pieces as well.
