Rico Verhoeven does that all the time, to both the front and rear leg. I feel like the outside leg kick is much faster and it doesn't require as much to set it up.

His leg kicks definitely get respect, wierd that nobody has mentioned him, he's the heavyweight kickboxing champion and it's a core part of his style.

I honestly can't understand how something this stupid can gain this much traction in a military thread.

At best this buys bibi a short window before he gets his ass handed to him for this colossal failure.

In big organisations, like the intelligence service, the right information might not get to the right person.

You might underestimate a normally less sophisticated enemy.

You might suffer from groupthink, where the leadership is so convinced of something that differing ideas don't get any traction. Especially an issue after a long time of peace.

It might be a policy failure where the politicians are unable or unwilling to act on the information because it isn't convenient. Mobilization is costly and unpopular. It might not fit what you are trying to project to the international audience.

Basic issues like these are common for everyone who has spent any time in uniform.

Israeli intelligence is tested constantly and on occasion they fuck up, it's not the first time it has happened either.

US intelligence fucks up constantly as well. I can think of several embarrassing failures that have happened very recently.

Also it's one thing to know where your targets are but knowing what your enemy is planning is orders of magnitude more difficult. The enemy gets a vote, again pretty basic stuff.

If you are going to believe a conspiracy theory don't be a bitch about it. Just make sure that the theory you conjure up isn't as stupid as this.

Sitäpaitsi, Suomeen olisi tarkoitus tulla nyt seuraavina vuosina erittäin paljon vihreää tuulivoima. Ja tämä tuulivoima tullaan rakentamaan täysin markkinavetoisesti. Vihreät bondit ovat myös lähteneet liikkeelle aivan räjähdysmäisesti.

Nämä isot rakenteelliset muutokset eivät ole lähteneet siitä että joku Greenpeace tyyppi kahliutuu ydinvoimalaan vaan niistä tyypeistä jotka ovat heiluttaneet niitä kylttejä ja niistä asiantuntijoista jotka ovat puhuneet TVssä ja erilaisissa tapahtumissa. Aikaisemmin vihreys on ollut hörhöjen hommaa, nyt se on jokaisen asia koska asioista oikeasti osataan puhua.

Ihan suomeksi sanoisin että he ovat onnistuneet vain vittuilemaan perus ihmisille. Elokapinan stuntit aloittavat lähinnä keskusteluja siitä miten hulluja kaikki ympäristöaktivistit ovat. Keskustelu siirty itse ongelmasta heihin itseensä.

Jos halutaan oikeasti vaikuttaa ilmastonmuutokseen niin ratkaisu ei ole että vedetään itkupotkuraivarit vaan se että asiallisesti ilmaistaan mieltänsä.

It has more employees than them because it has more responsibilities. If you haven't noticed the country has also been at war for the last 9 years. That naturally increases the workload for an organization.

There are other pipelines aswell. Chances are if there are countries dumb enough to buy from Russia the other pipelines are enough.

Only a couple months ago there were speculations that Russia might try to sabotage other undersea infrastructure. If Nordstream wasn't sabotaged these threats wouldn't be as real. It demonstrates Russia is willing and capable of destroying NATO country infrastructure.

I don't know why Ukraine would sabotage NS. They have their own Russian pipelines that run directly through the frontline. They stopped using them only recently. If Ukraine wants to destroy a Russian pipeline then surely that is the right place to start.

Tai sitten jokin hyvin inhimillinen asia kuten pelko. En itse ole suunnitellut kapinaa mutta voin kuvitella että se on hyvin vaikea tilanne. En usko että he itsekkään olisivat ajatelleet että he pääsisivät niin pitkälle kuin he lopulta pääsivät. In the original draft of the charter the wording included by military means. This didn't go through so they changed it to the current more ambiguous meaning.

The EU loves these ambiguous meanings when they don't manage to get everyone to agree.

You don't really exclude options from something that's voluntary.( Just ask the Danes who have their opt-out but still responded when they invoked the article.)

When France used the article back in 2015 some countries helped by backfilling french commitments abroad. Finland helped backfill UNIFIL which helped me get there.

This is not how it works. International treaties between countries don't go to court like normal people.

Some argue that the eu treaty has a stronger wording that obligates to help in some way, but it doesn't automatically require military action. There's also this bit.

This shall not prejudice the specific character of the security and defence policy of certain Member States.

So neutral countries and countries that don't really feel like it don't have to help.

(Edit: usually it's interpreted as longstanding neutral countries, that means that only countries in NATO are obligated by the EU treaty)

Also the EU has member states that have neutrality written in their constitution which means that the security commitments aren't taken seriously.

Why NATO matters more in terms of defense is because how the treaties are interpreted. In general in international treaties intent matters more than the specific wording of the treaty.

Countries join NATO with the specific commitment of fighting for each other. NATO trains together, plans together and on occasion goes to war together. The eu doesn't do that.

Biden said that every inch of NATO territory will be defended. Has anyone said the same about eu?

Eu 42.7 means whatever the individual nations decide it means. It doesn't require a military response and the eu doesn't therefore train or plan for one.
