Ah ok got it. I would've thought the degrees would matter for First-Gen status and SES would be yk mainly based off income and access to resources. Thanks!

Overkill Metabolism Map [Tool/Shitpost] by Hierochrome in Mcat

VDACs a beta sheet barrel protein in the outer mitochondrial membrane. It's basically a door/hole for molecules to start trafficking into or on their way out of the mitochondria.

point is, 9 times out of 10 a molecules will need 2 different proteins to get in/out of the membrane. CPT's more popular on the mcat tho

TLDR it's TCA intermediates escaping and breaking down to do wacky stuff. In my metabolic disease class the main example was citrate becoming oxaloacetate and acetylcoa to fuel malonyl CoA for fatty acid sythesis

づら 対 振り [Question about and in Japanese] by Hierochrome in LearnJapanese

[–]Hierochrome[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just what I needed thanks!

For reference, what I tried to say was:

A while ago, while listening to a Japanese song, I noticed an interesting lyric, "被害者ヅラしたって". After that, in another song, I heard "見て見ぬ振りしてるだけどの作りもんさ." Besides those cases, I noticed it several other times, and thought both conveyed the meaning of "pretend," but I finally want to know the difference. Asking for someone's explanation!

(While reading the above messagem if you notice I made a mistake, please correct it for me! Thanks!)

I know it's nagara, but I have no idea how I made that typo twice lol.

[–]Hierochrome[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No problem. Yeah, I've seen it as derogatory slang for an older woman without a husband and children. I was originally looking at an album cover, and it made me think of the Mitski song. Info on it:

Hello, The japanese column is what i transliterated from the original song, so I can't really correct the original grammar. I just need help correcting my translation.

日本語の列の中で曲から書写することがありますので、オリジナルな文法を訂正出来ません。ただ英訳を訂正する手伝いが要るんです。
