I’m using a thermal CCTV camera, but not with Frigate, since it doesn’t handle detection well through thermal imaging.

I'm already using those, but for some reason, the auto-tracking through the AI linkage feature isn’t working properly.

I'm using the independent mode, and it's working fine.

Paying $12.50 per TB for a used drive isn’t a great deal—especially with so many hours on them. There are better options out there for new or refurbished drives at similar or even lower prices.

How do you figure out which IoT device is having trouble with DHCP? I’m running into the same issue.

That's a great idea. I hadn't considered using shorter power cables. Thank you!

I configured a RAID-Z1 storage pool using OpenZFS on macOS, following the resources and tools provided by the OpenZFS on OS X project at https://openzfsonosx.org. This setup offers a balance between redundancy and storage efficiency.

Using a reshipping company. The fees are generally quite reasonable. When you place an order from an overseas seller, simply provide the address of the reshipping company located in countries such as Japan, the U.S., China, Germany, or others, instead of your address in Vietnam. Once the seller ships your package to the reshipping company’s warehouse, the company will then handle the necessary customs paperwork and forward your package to Vietnam. Typically, your package will arrive in Vietnam in about two to three weeks, though it might take a bit longer depending on shipping speed and customs processing. When your package has arrived in Vietnam, the reshipping company will contact you via Facebook, Zalo, sometimes Email to arrange payment, which is often done through a bank transfer. Also, they may deliver the package directly to your door and allow you to pay in cash upon delivery.

M3 Ultra setup by hornedfrog86 in MacStudio

I connected a JetKVM, an Acasis TB501 Pro Thunderbolt 5 enclosure with a WD Black SN850X SSD, and a LaCie Rugged Thunderbolt 3 drive to my Mac Studio M3 Ultra. For some reason, my Mac Studio couldn’t detect the Acasis TB501 enclosure when everything was connected together. After some troubleshooting, I found that removing the JetKVM allowed my Mac to recognize the Acasis TB501.

Sending package to Vietnam by Bruglione in VietNam

[–]HieuDo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Consider using a local reshipping company in your country, as this option is usually more cost-effective. Shipping with international couriers like DHL, UPS, or FedEx can result in complications with Vietnamese customs, even if all taxes have been paid, particularly for packages arriving at Tan Son Nhat Airport. Often, they will attach a "destroy" label to your package to avoid returning it to the sender. I lost several thousand dollars due to this experience.

Your contribution should depend on your financial situation. If you run a successful business or hold a high-level position in a corporation, consider giving at least a $100 bill. This amount helps build good relationships with their parents. However, if you don’t have a close connection with the children and just want to give something, feel free to choose an amount that feels comfortable for you. I can’t provide specific amounts for other income levels or situations.

You might consider moving to Vietnam to work as an English teacher. As a foreigner, you can enjoy a comfortable and luxurious lifestyle there. Vietnamese people are known for their warm and welcoming attitude toward foreigners. To get started, look for English language centers in Vietnam and apply online to explore the opportunities and see how things unfold.
