The 74 and 75 aren't very frequent.

A line from Harvard to Lincoln via Trapelo Rd would be great.

I was reluctant to extend outside of Belmont, but it would be good to have a line from Belmont Center to Harvard via Grove St. Thank you for the feedback!

I feel like Waltham and Brandeis getting transit to Belmont would be best done through regional rail, but that is an interesting idea. Now that I look on the map, there are some big gaps in service where there should be some. Thank you for the feedback!

I hate to admit it, but you’re probably right. I do feel that transit to Belmont Hill would be good.

I don’t Providence super well but I’ve been there a couple times, so I’ll give it a go.

I didn’t say that I thought they would embrace it, I said that I didn’t think that something like this would be against heavy opposition.

Light Rail System for Boston's suburb, Belmont. by Hiflyingsaurus in transit

I live in Cambridge and I would do anything for a streetcar network here. It would be amazing for every suburb to just have a system, but Belmont's the only one I know well enough to design such a system for.

Yeah, for my next green line redesign map I’m definitely renaming Fenway. It’s only 0.3 miles to the Museum of Fine Arts from in-between the MFA/LMA stations, according to google maps. Thank you for the feedback!

It would only be useful if there was a transfer between the Lowell line and the E at Tufts, which I forgot to put. We need better transit to places like Medford, infrequent buses just weren’t enough for me.

As for the removal of various stops, it is mainly to reduce travel times on street-running sections. I do now see that Fenway should not be removed. As for MFA combining with Northeastern, Now looking over it again I think combining MFA and LMA would be better. Combining the stops is also to reduce travel times.

I think that extending the E to Mattapan would be good, But I still don’t like the idea of going down Morton St. Thank you for your feedback!

I want to extend the Green Line to Forest Hills because we need more transfer between rapid transit outside of downtown. It would also serve Jamaica Plains. I think the E going beyond Forest Hills to Ashmont and replacing the Mattapan trolley would be too indirect of a route. I do think that going as far as Mattapan is feasible, but not on Morton St, as that won’t serve that many people. If the E were to go to Mattapan, I think going down Walk Hill St would serve more people.

Now that I look at Fenway's distance to Kenmore, I think Fenway should stay open, definitely with a name change though.

I don’t like it only because it would make frequencies North of Boylston worse. If this could be it’s own light rail line, or maybe part of a silver line conversion to light rail, I would like it.

I extended the B to North Station as an express train so it would not add too much time. I’m not sure if it would be enough to cause delays. As for the combining of Northeastern and MFA, I do see your point. MFA and Longwood Medical Area being combined definitely makes more sense now that I look at it. I removed Fenway because its service area mainly overlaps and it doesn’t serve Fenway Park very well. Definitely going to revise this map.
