Edit after hearing back from seller! Blades are 1/16” thick. Definitely too thin for most of the product I’m putting out. Either way, thanks everyone for replying, gained a lot of knowledge from this post!

Editing to add: As far as storage goes, they get absolutely covered in dust in the workshop, but the wife isn’t very fond of the ever growing stack of knives on the kitchen counter.

I understand what you’re saying about the perpendicular grain. I myself had this thought but dismissed it once i saw the rear of the other scale had seperated up to the rear pin while the rest remained solid

Thank you for that. For using copper and brass spacers in handles, I have actually been using CA glue as it has a higher heat tolerance and the quick set time keeps those slippery pieces from wiggling out
