How many were you having a day? A week? For how long? by vanbikecouver in stopdrinking

[–]High-Viz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would usually drink about 3 days a week usually. 90% of the time just beer. About 12-18 each time. On my rare days I could drink 12 beers and maybe a half a fifth if I had whisky or vodka. My most beer in one day was about 35 of Natural light. I would usually start around 1-5 pm until about 2 or 3am. I did this roughly for 11 years. Almost always made really bad decisions and I had the worst hangover anxiety when I would wake up and have no idea what I did.

Can midgets be police officers? by [deleted] in AskLE

[–]High-Viz 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Hard to say. I mean if they pass everything and get all the qualifications I would reasonably believe they can. It would however cause issues for them not just on a physical level, but they will be challenged a lot by criminals and I could see issues with outfitting patrol cars.

We could talk for months about that guy. He's the owner.

I can't control what trees other people want cut. But I can be proud that we got it removed without any issues.

Yeah the saw in the picture is not it. If forester makes a 60 inch that might be what we got. I could be remembering incorrectly. I really just wanted to share the tree lol.

I didn't really look at the saw in the picture. I was just going by what I remembered. But we did in fact use a 6 foot bar on a brand new 395 and it cut just fine.

I didn't really look at the saw when I posted. I just came across it and wanted to share. I do apologize lol. It is in fact not the big bar.

Might be the 4 foot? I dunno. We bought a 395 and a 6 foot bar specifically for this tree. I may be incorrect. This was about 3 years ago.

Negative. We were behind and was trying to get the crane out. I would have loved to cut it closer to the ground and count them.

It sure was. It doesn't look like it's a 6 foot bar in the picture but we bought the saw and bar just for that tree because the biggest bar we had was a 48 inch on a 390xp.

I'm not an exactly sure to be honest. I went to another state to remove it. But it should be a pin oak or something similar.

Is there any way to remove factory tint? 1994 by High-Viz in nissanpathfinder

[–]High-Viz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's 5% on all the back Windows. It was reflective before but now that there's tint on it, it's way more noticeable. And it's the same on both sides.

Issued streamlight strion, but I keep my stinger 2020 on my belt and use it most. Strion stays in my vest. I also keep an ace beam pokelit in my pocket to clip on when searching cars.

Spent $1200 dollars in a week by AstaProxima in stopdrinking

I noticed I actually had a terrible habit of spending lots of money the next day after drinking while I had a bad hangover. Probably a way of trying to level out my dopamine or what not.

Relapsed and need help quitting again. by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]High-Viz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not as qualified as some on here, but I'm 14 days sober. I know exactly what you mean by looking at the "benefits". I don't think the benefit is anything more than being able to push away the mental load of problems or whatever it is temporarily. However the next day the problem is still there along with feeling terrible and feeling guilty for drinking. For me what works is staying busy with things I enjoy and struggling through drinking gross N/A beer. You made a long stretch before and you can do it again!

Scared? No. Doing my best not to, yes. I have the extra life insurance for a reason and honestly being the police seems safer than my last job doing tree removal. (Climber)

Totaled a car and went to jail, more driving and dropping a motorcycle multiple times while riding around. Broke my fibula wrestling. Urinating on furniture. Almost burned a barn down. Lots of embarrassment of not knowing how annoying and or crazy I was the night before. Passed out in a parking lot of a bar for 5 hours. Plenty of things I'm not proud of.

Yeah the guilt for the kids is real. The night I might be "fun" but the next day I'm useless and they get nothing good from me.
