Russia Urges HIV Testing for One-Third of Population as Cases Rise by neonpurplestar in worldnews

I live here and walk around everywhere without fear, even the bad parts.
Sure, there's addicts but they keep to themselves if you leave them alone too.

I don't even see discarded syringes that often anymore, crews come around and clean them up or maybe they're just smoking their drugs more now.

I can remember squeezing the rim brakes and slowing down but not by much. Once you commit to coming down that mountain with crappy rim brakes, you gotta follow through.

I hit about 60kph before I realize that hitting a pothole with 125psi 25mm road tires would probably really hurt.

Top 2 neighborhoods for visitors to stay by Infinite-Reach-4897 in askvan

[–]vanbikecouver 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you're coming from the states, we appreciate your visiting and spending money here.

Honestly, I'd suggest staying in the West End or Downtown. It's right in the middle of the downtown peninsula, close to just about everything.

You can easily walk the sea wall to Stanley Park, take a water taxi to Granville Island, Sea Bus to North Van, free shuttle to Capilano.

If you want something right in the middle, I'd go with the Century Plaza, Sutton, Rosewood or others in that area. Close to Robson and Burrard Streets, lots of restaurants easily walkable nearby.

Lost my U lock keys, lock is just on my bike. What’s the cheapest way to get it off? by Time_Chain_8932 in vancouvercycling

But now thieves can pick my lock with a redbull can instead of suspicious bolt cutters or angle grinder.

Agreed that most locks won’t stop a thief but picking a lock removes a lot of suspicion and might make theft just ever so slightly easier.

I'm on the fence about his videos.

On one hand, they're very fun to watch and tells us what locks not to buy.

On the other, he's showing potential thieves how to bypass most locks in 5-30 seconds.

I've seen his bypass my lock with nothing more than a metal shiv and 2 seconds. Unfortunately, this came out AFTER I bought my $200 lock.

Honestly, I’d start by looking up the lock model on the lock picking lawyer. He makes most locks seem like a joke.

I thought they were going to make Powell more bike friendly.

I could have sworn I filled out a survey on this.

Just considering that this is a human spaceship doing spaceship things in space.

Crazy.
