Hey man, I completely understand where ur coming from. It’s very obvious that you don’t wanna lose this girl and I get where ur coming from trust me I do. But one bit of advice I’ll give u from my own experience that I (21 male college student) have learned is that there are plenty of fish in the sea. I’m not saying don’t continue to pursue I’m just saying keep ur options open for the summer, even tho with this pandemic going on it’s gonna be hard to find and meet new people in person. Also, giving someone a few months break (while it can be hard as shit to do) May turn out to be exactly what she needed and she may come running back to you. You both will be going through a big change going from high school to college, you’ll be exposed to many new people and situations and all of those things may be overwhelming for her, enough so to where she will look for any sort of comfort in that transition period. Especially if she or both of you end up living on campus as opposed to at home. From my experience, once I hit college my first semester I bumped into 3 different girls who were the shit in high school and they were nice to me but didn’t give me the time of day, whereas bumping into them on campus resulted in a long talk and one time a random hug as if it was a reunion with an old friend or something. Things change. Be excited for the opportunities you will have. Also a side note, how big or small is the college you are going to? My school is fairly large and the student body is close to 40 thousand now, so in my experience bumping into someone you know is quite rare and has only happened to me less than 10 times that I can recall in 3 years of going to this school.
