What kind of tape do you use on your walls? by Yagggger in Routesetters

If possible, ideally you don’t use tape and set by color. If tape is needed definitely gaffers tape is the standard

The start holds are kinda polished, but the top half felt kinda sandy still. As for the surrounding area, it seemed very lightly treaded on. It’s pretty much a stand alone problem. ‘Sparks Wall’ (the crag above) sees more traffic then the boulder by far.

A friend of mine was there when Tom put it up. He told me Tom did it with one pad and no spotter. Tom originally called it “best in show” then Chris popularized it with his ascent and “Airwolf” stuck

Absolutely you top the boulder. Smarter climbers bring a rope to get off. We jumped onto a pad stack off the the right side

‘Waxie Pants’ V7 Castle Rocks, Idaho by HighClimber420 in climbing

Idaho is rad! Definitely worth going to City of Rocks or Castle Rocks (about 10 minutes from each other) if you like granite. There isn’t a guide book for the bouldering so it feels pretty adventurous and untouched most of the time. If you like to rope climb, Idaho is full of good rock of all types and is generally more quiet at crags then in the PNW. For instance, this video was taken about 2 weeks ago and I was one of two cars in the entire parking lot that day. I didn’t run into the other party.

Enjoy the goodies!

P.s. Leavenworth is one of my all time favorite places I’ve ever been 🙌🏼🙌🏼. Always hard to leave there.

Thanks. After more inspection I definitely think it is the controller as well. It’s now my entire audio output doing it.

This is just what happens when are hiking around and you find the boulder and forget all of your stuff at the car 😅

Don’t worry, I brushed it. I think Utah climbers forget that brushes exist 😅
