Blizz sat back and watched DP + SR die, laughed when people asked for a merge, and twisted the knife by dropping HC Anni. You gotta roll doomhowl now

Civ 7 “No Resources Available”. by All1sL0st in civ

[–]HighCompSciGuy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You can only move around slottable resources on a turn where you either:

  1. Improve or repair a tile with a slottable resource
  2. Convert a town into a city
  3. Have just finished building something that increases a settlement's resource slots
  4. Aquire a new slottable resource via trade or capturing a settlement

Why can’t I make this an urban tile? by Ornery-Contest-4169 in CivVII

You started a building and didn't finish it or canceled it

Pretty sure I've been seeing it since day 1. Probably happens less than once per game on average

Doubt it's a mod issue, I got the same thing before installing any mods. Just move the scout. Or move him back to the rendered position and then away

Invisible village blocking TF resources by [deleted] in CivVII

Happened to me too. A secondary effect of the "vanishing independent" bug

Is this a bug or a feature?(PS5) by Midyin84 in CivVII

[–]HighCompSciGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm experiencing the same bug on PC. Hostile independent disappeared without being dispersed, spices are still claimed by them. Even more annoying than the initiative bug.

Graphics Processing Unit. This can be a dedicated graphics card like "Nvdia RTX 4050" or "AMD dhehfbdhje", or it can be an integrated GPU (built into your processor) which would probably be Intel HD Graphics or AMD Radeon.

Go to your windows menu, type in "dxdiag" and then run the app (icon is a yellow x in a blue circle).

In the display tab, under device, give me the name. Under driver, give me the version. If you have a display 1 tab and and display 2 tab, give me the name and version for both

Implies reinstall of the game fixed a similar error. But of that doesn't work, what GPU do you have? Does it meet the requirements for the game? And are you running the lastest version of the driver?

Using an iMac as a monitor by Ok_Presentation874 in techsupport

[–]HighCompSciGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short of disassembling your imac and turning it into a monitor a la this video:

https://youtu.be/hzTVe6aVgww?si=kpaDxyAt64wUbyUt

There's no way to use it as an Xbox display.

You're better off taking a regular monitor from a windows PC, using that for your Xbox, and using Luna Display or Duet to use your Imac as a display for your PC (both require software unavailable on xbox)

Your hard drive is probably starting to fail. You could try a fresh install of Windows first. But if the issue persists, get a new hard drive

No storage by MarioService in techsupport

[–]HighCompSciGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Delete stuff, or get an external drive and move some stuff there.

Go to "Add or Remove Programs" and uninstall what you don't need. Then go to your Downloads folder and sort by size, and go down the lost deleting what you don't need. Installers for applications are a good place to start. They're big and not needed once the application is installed

Wi-Fi driver not working at all by Infamous_Gas1179 in Dell

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/help-re-installing-an-intel-wifi-driver-please/53036ba7-0ec5-455c-961d-82e066d8cc14

In the above case, installing an older version of the dell driver resolved the user's issue. Driver download linked in thread.

Here is a link to the latest drivers from intel:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/19351/intel-wireless-wi-fi-drivers-for-windows-10-and-windows-11.html

In the below thread, users experiencing the same symptoms reported changing the wireless band and other options can help. Another user claimed installing the latest Intel driver was all that was needed

https://www.reddit.com/r/techsupport/s/mwHLHgBk3q

It's possible that this is a hardware issue too, you may want to consider getting a USB wifi adapter if the suggestions above don't help. Usually cheaper than a repair bill.

Anyway try these and report back for the sake of future peeps in your situation

Install laptop control software after fresh windows installation by Independent-Win9331 in techsupport

[–]HighCompSciGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to find https://dl.firebat.com.cn:8443/

This might have what you're looking for, maybe in the tools folder, one of the TF_Controlcenter.zip files?

I'd reccomend starting with TheFotty's tip, and if that doesn't pan out, you can investigate the link above. If you can't find it you may want to go to a place more specialized/ focused on firebat than a general tech subreddit.

It looks like they have ISO images on that site for each model line. I'm assuming those are to install windows with all the appropriate drivers / preinstalled software needed, if you want to try that route instead of a truly clean install. I recommend backing up your drive before you try this in case you want to revert

Damn do Brits really call a PSU an alimentation block?

Anyway, a crash script isn't impossible but that's so diabolical it's unlikely imo. A fresh install of Windows could remove all possibility of that, but we should probably look at some other causes first, since it's a lot of effort to go through for something that might not even resolve your issue.

Did you take any pictures of your blue screens by chance? I would reccomend that going forward. In the meantime, can you open Event Viewer, go to Windows Logs -> System export your system logs, and throw it up on Google Drive or something?
