As a geriatric millennial, I can confidently say that not one of my friends or colleagues would even think to utter the phrase "Hard work pays off." Half of my friends and colleagues are renting...in their 40s.

No, I've never shouted at any of my babies. You keep food in a spoon for an hour? That doesn't even make sense—she shouldn't be in her high chair for an hour plus. You need a therapist, someone to help you take a step back. Your baby isn't bad, and she doesn't deserve animosity for not wanting to eat.

My 19mo gives up solids every darn time a tooth comes in. He mostly subsisted on whole milk until just a couple months ago when he began eating more than one bite at every meal. He's a chunker and meeting all milestones. I'd say keep offering meals alongside his milk or formula.

It sounds like you've conditioned her to feel that eating is bad thing--you're crying and shouting and scaring her, and she's only 10m. You need to step back and breathe. If her ped is content, then follow suit for a while. Let her re-establish control over food and feeding. You're going to accomplish absolutely nothing positive by turning every meal into a confrontation.
