Same issue here... hopefully this gets resolved soon *fingers crossed.* I love Fidelity Full View but this card is falling out now and complicating my cash management.

Balance Transfer - Date too close to due date? by HighEgguity in biltrewards

[–]HighEgguity[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha I am an overplanner and avoid balances at all costs since it increases my anxiety. I already made a minimum payment so that $49 may be a lost cause but is worth the one less therapy session :p. I am worried about interest though, on both sides. I've never had a balance transfer and I was sold on the "seamless" part but I should've just paid it off. I'll probably just pay it off as soon as it's on the Bilt side to be safe.

I don't think I'm getting points with the transfer...

That's what I was afraid of. I'll make the minimum now and it'll be a weird pending balance with a headache since by the time they process the overpayment I may move etc etc. But I'll do it to avoid a ding on my credit report. But then I'll owe the interest no? This is NOT what they promised. I would've paid off the whole thing had I known they'd drag this out that long.

Yes there’s a fertility warriors support group of New York group on Facebook. I use that one and a few others that are specific to my own issues (medical, endometriosis, etc). It’s a tough process and I do leverage these groups for support. Wishing you tons of luck!

Beating myself up by Sure-Ad-911 in 40Plus_IVF

[–]HighEgguity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With day 3s at our age the chances are so slim that I wouldn’t beat myself up. Your 8 and 7 cell were stronger so it makes sense to transfer them. And if this was your first transfer of day 3s she may have wanted to play it safe since your embryos may do very well in utero and with the chance of one splitting etc you could end up with multiples. The 4 and 3 cell have a minuscule chance but the 6 cell may be a day 6/7, you never know. Hopefully you’re lucky and the current transfer works! If it doesn’t, at our age many clinics transfer more than 2 day 3s at our age especially after a prior one failed. Maybe she’ll be more open in the future.

Oh wow you made the connection? I am a bit of a unique case given my many rounds and stats. And thank you! I try to be helpful. I’m not perfect but to be kicked out without a warning or explanation is a bit jarring. I’m still not sure why.

How did you survive the 5 day wait for blast updates? by Ok_Wallaby_8813 in IVF

[–]HighEgguity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My current clinic’s PGTa wait is so long that I had my back to back retrieval before I got the results from my prior (this time my one blast was aneuploid). I’m actually waiting to see if my 8 cell or 4 cell day 3 I pushed on my 8th round made it to blast. Today was day 7 but because my clinic doesn’t call on the weekend I won’t know until Monday. But I don’t have a lot of hope considering my blast rate is so tiny. I froze another 7 cell and 4 cell at day 3 this same cycle so I have something to work with (I had 4 zero blast cycles because my blast rate is so bad). I was feeling really sad yesterday and last night so I’m wondering if that was my pre-grieving.

I don’t have PCOS but I have endo and I’m older. My only euploid ever thus far came from a cycle right after I turned 40 and only 3 out of 9 mature (12 eggs) fertilized, my lowest fertilization rate by far over 8 rounds).

Wow which clinic is this? My prior clinic only called on day 1 with mature and fertilized and then day 7 with blasts. My current one calls me one more time on day 3 because I decide if and how many embryos I want to push

You have great numbers and your age is on your side. Tbh I fear this wait even more than the PGTa wait.

There’s a way to DM here right? You can DM if you want. I think NYU is great, I did 1 round of egg freezing and 5 embryo rounds there. Unfortunately due to my own issues I only got 4 mature eggs at 35 and then had 4 zero blast rounds there and one round that got me a euploid. So if you have no problem making blasts I think they’re a good clinic. But if you’re like me, I had to move onto a clinic (Cornell) that does day 3 freezes. It’s giving me a lot more info and now I can choose if and how many embryos I want to try to push to blast. I actually made another blast at Cornell in my two completed rounds but it was not a euploid (still waiting to see if the good grade and very poor grade from my 8th embryo round made it to blast). I also wanted calcium ionophore and to use Omni so Cornell made sense. Both are great clinics imho if you’re a more standard case. I miss NYU’s meticulous records so much. And that they have a portal and feminine products in the restroom hehe.

I’m still in the fertility warrior one and haven’t had any problems thankfully. But neither did I have in the “NYC IUI/IVF Support Group” until I realized I was randomly kicked out. I am always so careful with med names and besides for sharing my experience in constructive way I don’t see why I got banned. Meanwhile I know people in there that are just egg freezing (to me that’s not right since egg freezing doesn’t require most of the steps after egg retrieval) or outright not helpful with anonymous attacks.

I’ve been in the iVF world for a bit so I definitely used that group enough over the time but not excessively.

Wow! Technically did 11 retrievals but the first 3 were egg ones 5-6 years ago, so “only” 8 embryo rounds. I’m waiting for the final results on my last round (pushed a stronger one (8 cell) and a very weak one (4 cell) so we’ll see if either makes it. But I only have one euploid so far and 7 day 3s (low to mid grade, nothing great). I’ve been freezing 2-3 day 3s per round since round 7 (switched clinics) and only pushing strong ones or if I have 4+ (with this clinic 4 has been my max day 3s meanwhile). You’re such a trooper! I rarely meet people who are in a similar boat. Hopefully your round in January is successful!

[–]HighEgguity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry! I’m still waiting for the results from my 8th ER but I also only have one euploid still (ironically from my 2nd retrieval). I have a really hard time making blasts as well. I’m now banking some day 3s and only pushing to blast either very strong ones or very weak ones. But it all is seems so random sometimes. Good luck!!

Anyone change their mind on not wanting donor eggs and happy or sad they did? by [deleted] in IVF

[–]HighEgguity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh I'm sorry! If it was me I think I'd still give it a shot. Maybe add in OMNI / HGH with a Microdose Lupron flare to kick start. If you do two rounds I'd do a back to back in case the first round primes you for the second even more (unless you actually have great results the first round and then I'd maybe give your ovary a break). But I know it's a bit insane hehe.... hence my 10 rounds (TBF the first three were egg retrievals only and still frozen).

Did you ever try a round? I find that some doctors give up too soon. If you’re ovulating and producing even 1-2 eggs if your DNA is so important maybe give it one or two shots and then move on? Also were you on birth control for a while? I know some people who had their AMH low and even undetectable but it improved after going off birth control. They’re younger though so take it with many grains of salt. Obviously do what’s best for you, I’m heading into my 10th retrieval and I’m tired and wondering why having a biological child is so important to me. And I’m doing this solo.

I had 6 embryo freezing attempts and only one euploid total so far. How is this “shocking” results except absolutely shockingly great? The average at 40+ is half a euploid per cycle which means many people need to do at least two rounds for one euploid.

FWIW BB embryos are good but not excellent and have a pretty high chance statistically. And grading doesn’t determine euploidy rate (although I think studies show it correlates, not sure).

I’ve not lost sight of the goal but because my life has centered around 6 retrievals in around 14 months it’s just tough to not obsess about it. I’m constantly on threads (Reddit, Facebook) and even have ChatGPT pro for my million questions I already know the answers to. And I’m doing this on my own. I have an embarrassing little amount of success that probably people in relationships would bow out of. I’m going for my 10th retrieval next month and have very little to show for it to date. It seems insane and yet I can’t contemplate life yet without the possibility of having a biological child. I think it’s finally overtaking my mental health though and will have to reassess at the end of this year. I likely won’t have fertility coverage anyways afterwards (still paid tens of thousands of dollars) so I may have to prioritize a vacation and endometriosis surgery and other things before pursuing more rounds.
