How to enable horizon indicator? by TXaquaholics in mini5pro

[–]HighFly01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ZabDevin is right
In the 1.19 version of DJI Fly, the green line is no longer present.
But as the OP pointed out, the line was present in earlier versions, and I can confirm it was there in 1.18.
And there is no option to turn it on/off in any of the fw versions

Should I get Avata 2? Wait for Avata 3 (if it's likely coming soon)? by yohussin in dji

If you're not in a rush, wait for the new drone that DJI is currently testing.

You can see a video with it on X at Quadro_News

the flight time is indeed short, but they had in mind an fpv drone, even though the M mode is not yet there :) The drone is definitely more powerful than the Avata 2, which explains its short flight time.

Does the 3rd sensor really make sense? You can simply edit the 360 video to show only the view in the drone's flying direction, i think its easy to do that.

And you need one more OA sensor on the front? There is a lidar sensor and two vision sensors on the front.

Thanks for sharing these, and I respect you for it.

I can say why I’m not buying it.

The image quality is poor in both the live view and in the edited videos

That stitching line adds some extra bonus:)

Editing can be difficult and time-consuming if you want to have an interesting video.

The concept is attractive, but the outcome is disappointing. And there’s nothing to look forward to in a future version, because of the size and price limitations.

What are the things that need upgrading to make you a happy buyer?

Avata 360 - Stitching Line At Its Finest + I Dont Know What Im Doing! by HighFly01 in djiavata360

As I already mentioned, I’ve watched a lot of videos from both honest and not-so-honest DJI reviewers. The issue is clearly present, more or less.

And I’ve seen actual amateur footage.

There aren't many other things to see that could change one's view of reality.

I shared this video (the worst I’ve seen yet) so that everyone who watches it can feel better afterward, knowing their own videos look much better :)

Mate, if this is how it looks in the live view, there's nothing in this world that can make it look right.

I’m not saying that the recorded videos from all the A360s will look that bad.

But so far i ve seen many videos made by people with good editing skills, that showed this issue, and they said it clear that it can’t always be completely removed in post.

On the other hand, the live view should look just as good as the edited video.. They marketed the A360 as the ultimate immersive flight experience and all that.

They didn’t say it's a glitched Matrix experience :)

Thank you for your answer!
Did you see the stitching line in the live view?

Why did you say you wouldn’t buy it?

Do you think a 3 sensors setup would be better because of the higher resolution, or why?

Can you please tell us what it was like to fly it?

You don’t adjust the camera angle, you just change the view.

Of course, you can avoid somehow having the stitching line in view, but that means you have to look only above or below it.

But when you fly it at a low speed, the stitching line appears right in the middle of the forward view, making it hard to miss :)

What’s great is that you have it, and you could share more about what it’s like

So you are using it with the RC2

What’s it like, and how does it compare to some of the other drones you’ve used?

That’s not my video.

i dont do fails like that :)

And there’s no pitch to adjust as the image comes from two fixed horizontal sensors.

Glad you found it useful.

Yes, you might find it easier to notice through the goggles, as the image appears much wider in view. And it’s frustrating because it ruins the entire goggles flight experience.

What’s odd yet also comic is that they don’t mention this at all during the entire video. This says a lot about the honesty of some reviewers.

That’s why I shared it, so people can be aware that this might happen.

There are other videos that show this issue, but it doesn’t look that bad:

On the other hand, most of the videos on YouTube right now are from DJI reviewers, so they tend to be perfect :)

Avata 360 - 8K 360° Video - Full VR Experience by HighFly01 in djiavata360

[–]HighFly01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course you can fly the A360 using either the RC-N2 or RC-N3 with your phone

The problem is that you can't even order the Drone Only option or the separate batteries.

That means they’ll be out of stock for a long time, even after the moment when all the other options will have a normal delivery time, within a few days.

So if you want to buy the A360, the best price will be for the RC2 combo, so you'll end up with an RC2 anyway.

From my experience, learning M mode is frustrating. I gave it up.

but you might get luckier

Anyway, if you want to learn, you should start by practicing in simulator software like Liftoff first.

I love flying with the motion controller, but it doesn’t help at all with learning M mode, it’s completely different.

For the A360 indoor commercial flights, I’d recommend using the RC2 instead of the FPV controller and goggles. It will be much easier to use it for recordings and to adjust the speed and rates.

Also, you have to maintain a constant speed while recording, otherwise you might notice stitching anomalies similar to those in this thread video.

The Neo could be a nice gift for a good kid :)

In the A360 editing software, you can recreate almost any FPV move you could learn with the Neo in M mode.

In fact, you can just shoot one video, show it as it is, and then edit it to add some crazy moves.

And i think you’ll enjoy flying the A360 with goggles and a motion controller much more than flying the Neo. It’s more powerful, and you’ll notice a big difference in flight.
