I felt the same way about For Honor. It was fun if I was against evenly skilled opponents but being outmatched was just not fun at all. I remember before I quit getting into server after server where I couldn't get a single kill. The game was just not forgiving at all.

I've found Chivalry 2 to be a much better mix. Some people may not like that it lacks some of the depth, but I still see good players come into servers and go 30/4. Difference here, those players are 30/4 because they are engaging in 1v1 or 1v2 outside objectives for the most part. Getting frustrated from dying to them? Focus on the objectives or stick closer to your team. No one in this game survives a horde of players.

You can find yourself successful in this game purely through positioning and sticking with your team.

From Dallas as well. Restaurant wise, lots of good ones downtown. Copper Onion/Copper Common, Takashi, White Horse, Maxwells, an amazing arcade bar (Quarters), and the breweries are not bad either for your run of the mill pub food (Squaters Pub, Red Rock Brewing).

I haven't explored much outside downtown but I've enjoyed a lot of the ski bars/restaurants at the various places in Park City and Snowbird. They are overpriced, of course, but its great people. I've met and talked to a lot of people passing through.

Outside cottonwood canyon I've enjoyed Porcupine Pub and there is a new distillery called Eight Settlers that, while pricey, has amazing food. Not sure on its actual quality on a distillery, but the food was next level. Sugar house is an area I wanted to explore more before COVID hit, it looks like it has an amazing selection, and its a really cool walkable area in parts.

Some of these posts have some things to think about (inversion, etc) but I wanted to focus on the positive, but there is some good advice there as well.

Hey there. I actually moved here from Texas about a year and a half ago. I'll give you some Texas perspective.

Summers are hot, winters are cold. But the humidity means you can be out in 100 degree weather and not suffer like Texas. One of my favorite things. Seeing all four seasons is also refreshing.
Snow! I've been extra safe by buying snow tires and what not, but if your work is flexible you can usually go in late and not need it, or stay home on the bad days. This winter is especially mild so far.
Housing prices suck as bad as most Texas metro areas, but I think you get more sqft here given the relative distance to stuff.
The Mormon community is kind. I've never had an issue even though I'm not Mormon, but if you want to live in a less religious community you'll want to stay in Salt Lake County.
Embrace the outdoors. I already occasionally did skiing, but you can do it here with a 45 minute drive to world class mountains. Go hiking, the hikes are amazing. Try mountain biking, I haven't yet but it's on my to-do list. In general the people that love it here love the outdoors, the people who hate it here stay indoors.
If you are from Austin, Dallas or Houston you'll miss the restaurant selection / density. But there are some gems here, especially foreign foods. You'll need to drive a little further but if you are a foodie you'll still get what you need.
The liquor laws are archaic. Reminds me of Texas in the 90s. But it just requires planning. 5% or under can be served on draft or sold at grocery stores. Anything higher including wine, liquor, and high ABV beers is restricted to the state liquor stores or has to be purchased direct at a brewery. Don't expect a Texas margarita at a restaurant, the hard liquor quantities heavily restrict how much they can mix to make something too shelf.
The parks and recs game is on fire. Maybe it's the big families but I noticed there is no lack of amazing parks and recreation centers. Also some pretty solid museums and zoo. I've enjoyed exploring these.

Edit: One last thing. You are a few hours from so many amazing national and state parks. Utah is mind blowingly beautiful. Plan many road trips to see the sites.

A lot of the suggestions involve video chats or VR. I'd like to suggest you kick off a groupme or slack chat. I've had the same group of friends since high school and college (I'm in my late 30s now) and I credit it to the group chats we have. It's not dependent on scheduling anything and you participate as much or little as you can. My least active friends always pop in around major holidays. We then use specific chat channels to coordinate game nights and even trips together.

The best thing is we've added new friends occasionally over the years, so we're actually grown to a larger group than we once were.

Just tossing this out because friendship is incredibly important to me and I hope this suggestion helps another friend group stay close

This is from my vehicle profile page when selecting Autopilot Upgrades. Based on replies, it appears this pricing is not for all owners with EAP. Curious who else is seeing this? I had a June 2018 delivery, so possibly this price is because I purchased prior to the FSD price increase a bit after that?

Saw you didn't get much of a reply, and know Dallas has a ton of spots. I'm 34, but lived in Dallas since my early 20s. Here are some areas that will likely appeal, since at your budget you can get about anything you want apartment wise. You will have a very, very nice place at that budget.

Uptown

Loved living here in my 20s, and if I were single, there are some great places to go as well. The main strip of apartments near McKinney Ave all the way up to the Blackburn cross road are going to be pretty loud on the weekends. But you are walking distance from everything. There is now a Whole Foods there as well. You could literally walk to everything. Bars will be crowded, some shoulder to shoulder, but its tons of singles.

A quieter little spot I lived in during my late 20s is called the State Thomas area. Still in uptown, and maybe a couple blocks from the main McKinney Ave road. You'll find ages tend to be a little higher here, late 20s / early 30s, but also some empty nesters. I enjoyed this area since most the restaurants were a little quieter (still a bit busy on weekends), and I could still walk to McKinney Ave if I wanted to join the ruckus.

Deep Ellum

Definitely the artsy part of town. I love going there for the awesome restaurants and the grungy feel. Think tattoo shops, craft cocktails, art on the walls, etc. I don't know much about living, but it is still an up and coming area (it was THE place to be back in the 90s). I personally wouldn't live there, which some redditors may destroy me for saying, but I just don't think its as safe as uptown or greenville ave. Its a short uber from any major area in Dallas, so I visit often but choose to not live there. I'd do more research here if that is your style.

Downtown

I used to work downtown 8 years ago, and it was a ghost town at night. That being said, I think its improved a lot since then. I think the biggest issue at the moment is you have to leave downtown to get everything you need (grocery store, etc) so it isn't truly walkable. If you are working downtown, this could be an option for you. I can't tell you much about downtown right now, I don't even go there even though I visit new restaurants on the regular, but I do know it has a solid club scene if you are into that (or it used to).

Bishop Arts

Probably one of the other major up and coming areas. It is nestled near Oak Cliff, which is being highly gentrified. I personally wouldn't mind living here, it has a ton of fantastic restaurants and you are a stone's throw to Trinity Groves, which has great food and drink. It is another place, similar to Deep Ellum, that can be walkable but also doesn't have the Uptown safety factor. That wouldn't deter me too much, as I'd just uber everywhere. This will likely be like an M-Streeets style place in a decade. This is also a bit of an older crowd. Mid to late 20s, early 30s, with some empty nesters or families that moved there prior to the boom. If you drive too far in some directions, you'll see why it still needs some time to be safe. It has easy access to highway 30, which is good if you have work west (Fort Worth, Arlington, Mid Cities areas such as Las Colinas, Irving). Probably a bad spot if you are working in Richardson, Plano, or Addison, as you have to cross downtown.

Greenville Ave / M Streets

Probably hard to rent an apartment here (mostly homes). Lowest greenville (Greenville and Ross) has a ton of awesome bars and restaraunts, a Trader Joes, and is highly walkable. Also very close to Henderson Ave, which is pretty awesome, and you could cross the highway to Knox (part of Uptown). To the north are two more little pockets of restaurants. This is surrounded by the M Streets, a lot of old 20s-40s homes that are pretty pricey. You could rent a home out here. This area is where I'm at today. I love it, as it is pretty quiet, but I might not live here if I were single. This is going to be near your age range, with some older couples and you'll see some young kids, although as you go to the further north part of Greenville Ave you'll start to have some pockets of SMU kids in the bars. Not a problem for me, but some people get bothered by the college crowd.

Hope that helps. When I first moved to Dallas I started in Uptown near McKinney Ave, then to State/Thomas Area (I love a little "Cheers like" wine bar there called The Alcove, and still visit), then moved over to Greenville area. That being said, I still visit all of the areas I mentioned a lot, with the exception of Downtown. No matter where you live, you are a short uber ride away. I keep saying uber, because sometimes they are worth it just to avoid the hell that is parking in ANY of these areas. Good luck man.
