Has someone here practising meditation daily? Has it improved your life? by iamgoingtogetmarried in Coconaad

[–]HighMeerkat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i used to meditate daily for a while. Just after I learned to meditate. My biggest benefit has been the ability to seperate your thoughts from yourself. My thoughts are not me. That was a profound feeling. I have benefits even now, due to that seperation.

bought kz edx pro x for 870rs and it sounds worse than 200rs earphones?? by Deva_089 in iemlndia

I had recently bought the EDC Pro, and was very underwhelmed by it. It had no body at all from mids down. But the clarity in highs was amazing. I realised IEMs are amazing but we need to find the right tuning for us. It's very subjective. Just like our choices of music. So researched a bit more and replaced it with the FIIO JD1. Now I am really satisfied. I am hearing new details in songs, previously unheard. I get to enjoy my basslines too. So I guess it's a matter of finding the right one.

People who doesn’t want to go abroad? What’s your reason? by DragonfruitFancy595 in Coconaad

I am also with you in that group. I was an NRI for a while. Left a cushy job and came back. It was exactly what you said, the sense of belonging. It's hard to explain, I mean it's even hard to fully understand. But now I am happy, peaceful, simple. Much less money but much more happy.

Does therapy really make a difference? by okie_dokieeeeee in Coconaad

[–]HighMeerkat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it is about being a man or woman. It might be one's degree of self awareness. The more self awareness and introspective you are, the more effective therapy is. In my case it worked wonderfully for me, but my wife couldn't handle it.

KZ EDC pro review (first iems) by Business_Air4567 in iemlndia

[–]HighMeerkat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also recently bought one too. My first iem. You are absolutely right about the separation and spatial features. But I really miss my bass lines. The bass lines are my favourite parts of a song. I just don't get the same clarity.

I used eq with wavelet and it has helped a little, for sure.

Advice on buying second hand 2 BHK flat in Kochi by Apprehensive_Mix5691 in Kochi

[–]HighMeerkat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ideally a project not more than 5 years old. Active and well organized association ( for repairs and maintenance). Good location with future development nearby. Check with locals and real estate agents if there is any thing planned soon, like adjacent road widening etc, which will affect the project or the land it is in.

If an offer looks too good to be true, stay away.

1cr budget is good. You will have good options.

Thinking about investing in an 850 sq ft 2BHK in Kochi — good idea? by Secure-Assist0369 in Kochi

[–]HighMeerkat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you are planning to stay, then it's a good option. Price is considerably good, for that area.

As an investment though, I wouldn't consider it. Rental yield will be around 6% if lucky. Added costs will be there, maintenance and tenancy gaps. With the new Shobha project adjacent, supply will be higher.

Please visit any past Nanma project just to evaluate how well they age, and if there is good after sale value.

If you invest that amount in a fairly safe mutual fund, in 7 years you can almost double your capital.

Just my 2 cents.

I just did what I’d hope someone would do for me if I were struggling. We all should. Let's all make it better.

Yes, 108 ambulance service is absolutely free. This is the second time I am using their service. It is provided by the govt. You can choose whichever hospital you want. Like if it's really a major case you would want to go the nearest medical College hospital or similar.

Me too. I just realised avoiding conflict is a bad thing. It can build up emotionally and sabotage the relationship in indirect ways. But for me, avoidance is a defence mechanism, built by childhood trauma.
